What’s a good size round cut side stones for a 2.4ct round cut center stone?

I know this is bad as I had just gotten engaged less than a year ago but I’ve been seeing really pretty 3 stone e-ring. I want the side stones to be dainty so they don’t outshine the center stone.

My best guess is a 0.12-0.20ct. diamond. Have you tried on similarly proportioned three-stone rings?
