WF Wire Info?

Hi guys,

Before I begin, I would like to thank you guys for inputting so much info in this forum. They certainly help me in making my decision.

Ok..Back to topic, I just order a stone from WF. I intend to wire the amount but I do not have any swift codes, bank account no etc. except the company name. Anyone can help?

One more thing that I would like to ask is that throughout my exchange of emails, I realise that they are quite unwilling to provide me with additional photographs of the stone. ANyone encounter the same situation or I am just too demanding?

What kind of photos? I never asked for any additional ones. I had the info I needed to make a purchase. Once the diamond is set, they send you final photos (which are beautiful) so that you can see it ahead of time and make sure you are happy.

The wire info will be e-mailed to you with an embedded pdf file with all the instructions that you need to make the wire transfer process painless.

Have you confirmed the sale through a personal email or did you just reserve a stone on the website? You will need to have contact with a sales associate on Monday to get the wire information.

The stones have so much information on them already posted on the website, that most people do not request additional pictures. The stones are not actually in the same building with the sales staff. A stone has to be pulled to compare to another stone and that kind of thing. Was there something that you were uncertain about? Is the stone an ACA?

I ordered this ES diamond stone via online. Only receive the order number and the details of the stone. No PDF file with instructions. Intead, I receive another email showing me WF''s cost price.

I was attracted to the stone because of the arrows on the photos and requested for the hearts photo only. Thats all.

That explains it. ES are not marketed as H&A because they did not meet Brian''s EXTREMELY picky standards of what that means. Since they are not marketed as H&A, they will not photo the hearts for you. No exceptions that I have ever heard of. Sorry.

Well, I am not understanding exactly what you received, but you will have correspondence with a sales associate on Monday! You probably need to wire the money during business hours anyway. As Shay said, the ES stones do not have the heart photos since they are not technically hearts and arrows stones. But many of them look so close that most of us wouldn''t be able to tell the difference. I''m sure your stone is probably beautiful!

I was also refused a hearts photo for a stone that I felt would have been very close to an H&A. But I can certainly understand their wanting to protect their brand image by not photographing the hearts on non-H&A-branded stones. I would have done it myself if I hadn't needed them to set it fairly quickly.

But as far as I know, it only works with loose diamonds. If I had had time to send it to the local appraiser prior to setting, I would have bought and used one. But I needed the ring fairly quickly, so I didn''t bother. But if we have it reset...

Please call in or email and we will help you as much as possible with the wire transfer.

If this is an Expert Selection round you should have access to 40X photo, ideal-scope, ASET, our onsite Sarin report and the official lab report.

‘A Cut Above’ diamonds also have the actual hearts photo. I can confirm what the prior posters have said: Our co-founder Brian Gavin is admittedly snobbish about Hearts & Arrows. It’s safe to say that many of our ES rounds would be sold as H&A in more commercial markets but we (and a handful of brave others) are committed to maintaining standards for H&A precision, not diluting it as has happened over time... Since no official standards are enforced it is easy for a jeweler to say “this diamond is a H&A diamond," but the motives of the person making that pronouncement should be examined: Someone wanting to sell average stones with a "H&A" premium will allow less precise stones into their “H&A” collection than those who respect and maintain high standards.

With that said, a top level of H&A precision is not a requirement for diamond beauty. That's why we offer both H&A and non-H&A diamonds. Different strokes for different folks. For some the craftsmanship and aesthetics of top optical symmetry - or even just the ‘mind clean’ of it - can add value. As for the diamond you're considering HEPennypacker's suggestions are good; even if we did not admit it into our signature H&A line a viewer is pretty easy to come by - and if you're using an appraiser he/she could take H&A photos for you (shhh, don't tell Brian Gavin I said that).

I received the wire instructions via email less than an hour after I left the forum. Wired the $$ this morning and feeling anxious now.
Feels like flying over to Houston now to collect it myself.
