Hi Everyone,

I've been looking for an eternity band and have fallen in love with WF Annette's U-Prong eternity band. My wedding and engagement rings are yellow gold (solitaire's prongs are platinum), will this look out of place with the white gold Uternity? Does anyone have an eternity band that they wear with yellow gold rings that they can share??

Thanks!

OOOOPS just read you were asking if you thought white gold would look strange with your yellow gold bands. My answer would be no. I like mixing metal colors. I mostly have pink and white. But I do have a trinity ring which has all three colors and I love it. I think adding a white gold eternity band would look lovely. i would probably stack it in between the two yellow ones, but that is just me.

Again good luck

Thanks lovemybling :twirl: All my other jewellery is white gold or silver. I've been wondering if I'm better off with a half eternity and doing the band part in yellow gold, but I've always wanted the full eternity, and hey, you only live once!!

If you want the full I say GO FOR IT. I Love my eternity band it is nice not to have to worry if it has turned.

I wear and have seen others wear yellow gold wedding band with yellow gold half eternity but with white gold prongs. So top down the diamonds are surrounded by white, but from bottom, you have the uniformity of the yellow gold - a great compromise. You could also do it with a 3/4 band. I like it.!!

Thanks for the input D2B. Have I seen in other posts that you're an Aussie too? I'm thinking about ordering from WF, but am nervous about ordering over the internet from so far away. Don't suppose you've had any experience with them...?

Yep, an aussie :wavey:

I have have a custom made 3 stone engagement (upgrade) from WF and a pair of diamond studs. Wonderful experience both times, much better than any australian store, cheaper, better service, upgrade policy and much better stones (and choice of stones).

I am very very happy with WF. I have also ordered my eternity from signed pieces, again, great ring and no problems. WF can help you with the customs form and declarations so you dont have to pay extra tariff (there was a thread on it a while ago) but WF will know what I am talking about and I had my stones and ring checked by an australian appraiser for insurance purpose here, and again was told excellent stones etc etc.

I feel so lucky to have stumbled on this site, as I shudder to think what crappy stuff I would have gotten in australia or the price I would have had to pay to get anything half decent.

happy to answer any questions, not sure how to link, but am pleased beyond words with my custom 3 stone. The bizarre thing is that apart from the odd book on amazon, I am the worlds most conservative internet shopper and a few books and diamonds is all I buy on the internet :loopy: It took a lot of research and explainining to convince my husband to go and spend a relatively lot of money on an internet company (WF) which we had never heard of based on a diamond forum :errrr: :twirl: , but we took the plunge and it all worked out and cant say how happy we are with it all

where in australia are you? hope the floods and cyclone have not been near you.

cheers
DB

Hi shinyshiny! I wear my full eternity with my yellow gold 3 stone ring (like yours the claws are white) and I love how they tie in, particularly because I didn't really like the same eternity in yellow gold. I haven't had any experience with WF but have bought from Brian Gavin Diamonds (I'm an Aussie too) and the whole buying process was a breeze. Don't have any qualms about buying from WF, you won't find anything remotely similar in price this side of the black stump!

I think the Uternity will look phenomenal with your STUNNING solitaire, even paired just with your wedding band on more casual days... or just on its own! I love options!! :appl: :appl:

AAHHHH I never get tired of pics of your gorgeous ring D2B!! YUUUMMMYYYY!!!! :lickout:  :lickout:

I wear my platinum eternity band flanked by two handmade 18K yellow gold bands. I personally love mixing white and yellow metals. I think they look great together. I'm sorry the photo is so dark and a little fuzzy. This was one of the first pics I took with my new Canon years ago. I wasn't used to using the camera.

Gemgirl, I love that look, thanks so much for the photo! Such a beautiful set  The two different golds look great.

D2B, I'm in Adelaide, so have managed to avoid the flooding/cyclones/bushfires. Hope you have been safe too, it has been a crazy summer for weather. Thanks for the reassurances about WF. My husband is freaking out about buying a ring over the internet  , but when I look at what I can get for the money I'm finding it hard to find a reason to buy in Oz instead. My main concern (well one of them anyway) is getting the right fit if I go for the full eternity. I'd hate to have to start the game of sending it back and hoping it fits better the next time. I'm sure shipping fees would add up in a hurry. WF is sending me some sizers, so hopefully that will help.

On another note, your WF 3 stone ring is GORGEOUS    My husband is NOT going to like me looking at those pictures :loopy:

Hi DandiAndi, what beautiful rings you have! I'd never thought of pairing the eternity with my wedding band on days when I leave the solitaire at home. Love that idea! Do you have any more photos of your eternity ? It's absolutely lovely, would love to see a profile shot. What size are the stones?

My poor rings will need a bit of clean up if I get a shiny new eternity. They've been worn every day for 11 years and it shows :loopy:

gemgirl, that looks AWESOME!!

Aww thanks shinyshiny, you're so lovely! Here's a profile shot of my eternity ring, it's looking a bit beaten up these days! If I'm not wearing my engagement ring I usually stack one of the 2mm plain YG bands on either side of my eternity. I love eternities with plain bands!

ETA: AHHHH!! I didn't realise how dirty it is until I saw this closeup pic! Polishing cloth, STAT! :errrr: :errrr:

Good luck something shiny. Keep us in the loop on how it goes. It is always good to see some aussies on here, the price and quality of the diamonds with the vendors here is beyond what is readily available in australia.

I am in Melbourne, so luckily we have been fine and no issues with the crazy weather. On a side note, what breed is that gorgeous puppy in your avatar?? how adorable!!!

Cant wait to see your progress shots, keep us in the loop and again for your DH, truly WF is fantastic and better than any service we have had in Autralia.

Great idea about sending a sizing ring, or send a cheap ring that fits excatly as you want it, to WF, so you know it will fit.

good luck, very excited for you

Opps, forgive me shiny shiny, I called you something shiny  well got to run, school pick up time

Oops sorry hon, I forgot to add that the diamonds are 10pt a piece, 2.20ctw. I second D2B, I can't wait to see what you end up with!! :appl:

Thanks for your help girls. It's been great to see some reassurances from fellow aussies :appl:

I'm pretty sure I'll end up going with Annette's U prong eternity. I've always wanted a full circle eternity, and now is my chance

I think I'll start a new thread seeing if I can get any feedback from PSers who already own the ring. I know there are a few out there, so I'd be interested to hear if they are still loving it.

Thanks again for all your help! You guys have been great.

Oh, and D2B the puppy is a funny one. She's golden retriever crossed with a cavalier spaniel  She's almost 2 now so significantly bigger!! But still beautiful (at least according to my 2 girls  )
