Hi guys,

I''ve been a lurker here for a while. I finally purchased a diamond from WF with the help of Bob. I didn''t want to post it here, because I thought it''d get scooped up.

Here it is:

What do you guys think?

Now I''m just trying to figure out what setting to get. Katie says she''d like a 3-stone ring, but she also wants an eternity band. Budget is a bit of an issue. I ended up spending more than I wanted on the centre stone, and have a remaining budget of approximately $1500.

Any ideas?

Debating between a three stone setting and a solitaire with diamonds on the side.

Does the fact that she wants an eternity band lend itself to a setting?

Hope you can help,

Tom from Toronto

Also, one of Kate''s concerns are E rings that ''stick out'' (settings with high diamonds).

I''m finding it tough to visualize this online.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

If you ask WF to get you an inexpensive, basic stock 3 stone setting and a wedding ring with diamonds half-way around, i figure you should be able to make your budget.

most 3 stones don't stick out awkwardly. the x-prong 3 stone is also very graceful, and less than 1200 from WF. For stock settings, you might ask that the stones be set low.

you don't need to get the wedding band today. will you have enough money for one when you will get married?

just noticed your link. the stone looks great.

Thanks JulieN!

It''s funny you mention the X-prong. That''s the one I''d like to get. :) I totally agree with you that it''s very elegant.

Bob''s looking into side stones for the 3 stone trellis now. Hopefully we can come in somewhere close to budget.

I should ask Bob about the wedding band also. I didn''t think to ask, and I will be waiting a bit for the band.

Thanks for your help JulieN. I''ll keep you posted.

Hi Tom from Toronto, I second the suggestion of the trellis setting. I have one myself and it does sit nice and low. It doesn''t look too overwhelming but it is a beautiful style. my husband chose it for me as he likes a simple setting but not the traditional prongs. I have sometimes wished it was a 3 stone ring, so I think you''re on a very good track there. as for the half eternity though, you might find that''s a bit much against the 3 stone as it might detract from the ER, but that''s only my opinion. as much as I do have a half eternity myself, my ring actually looks nicer against a plain band rather than the eternity begging for attention.

Good luck
