This project has been 3 months in the making due to tweaking needed in the CADs. Once it was finalized, it took less than 2 weeks for the ring to be completed. To be honest, when I first saw the pictures, I admit my heart sank with extreme disappointment. The setting looked bulky, thick and there was no fluidity at all. I was depressed enough to consider not picking up the ring at all, but decided it wasn’t fair to everyone (myself included), especially since WF worked on at least 3 revisions of the design.

I am happy to report that all the negative thoughts flew out of my mind as soon as I opened the box and laid eyes on the ring. The setting is every bit as elegant, delicate and fluid as I’d originally envisioned, not to mention, the usual impeccable workmanship and super sparkly ACAs. I love this ring as much as the Mahenge setting WF did for me earlier. I am sure the photography department tried their best but unfortunately, they could not capture that same look and feeling this time. It really gave me a scare but I’m so happy that it came to naught.

I managed to capture a little of the sparkle of the ACA diamonds. I''m camera challenged so I''m just happy that a few of my pictures came out somewhat decent.

Thank you for the wonderful compliments; I did not forget the handshots as the pictures need to be resized and renamed first. The weather was NOT cooperative at all this weekend and yesterday; it was either raining or stayed cloudy and overcast. As such, all my pictures are taken indoors with very poor and dim lighting, which made photography a challenge since I’m an extremely poor photographer to begin with.

First off, is the “chair” series since the spess ring is on my footstool.

I know this picture is blurry but I’m happy to have captured some brilliant white light return from the ACA melees.

You can see that this picture is very dark because there’s almost no light coming through the window. The nice thing about it though is that you can really see the design of the setting.

Here comes the handshots!

I know the spess looks brown here but it’s so dark that even my skin looks very dark. I’m not that tanned at all!

A profile view on my hand. Again, it is dark and it’s not easy using just one hand to take a picture without any support.

Urgh! Another horrible picture showing brown with yellow flashes but it’s really orange. It’s so frustrating; either the stone colour isn’t accurate or the picture is blurry.
