I love that setting, it's really beautiful and it leaves room for so many wedding band choices. Please take more photos for us. I especially love the profile view.
Congrats on the ring it's very beautiful ! I love OEC'S and it's amazing how white it faces up. I'm hoping that my SO listens to me and get's and OEC from JBEG for the e-ring. Enjoy the ring and the engagement.
This is quickly becoming one of my most favorite settings-- and I can't believe the color of the stone is Q/R!! The size is perfect on your hand. It looks spectacular and I hope you enjoy it!!!
Thanks everyone! So glad you are enjoying the new pictures.
@kateydid05 - thanks for the compliment on the chinchilla avatar picture. That little one is Sniffy and she's actually 1 of 9 chinchillas that we have in addition to a hefty 18-pound cat. I brought the chinchillas to the relationship and he brought the cat. What can I say, we are both suckers for cute, furry animals.
@gemgirl - I will do my best to get some additional profile pictures of the ring sometime in the next few days. My work week is a bit atypical, so may not have any pictures for you until Monday of next week - hope that is okay.
@AJ - Yes, Andy (the DF) is super funny. You should see him - he's so proud of himself, patting himself on the back all the time - he pretty much struts and pushes out his chest. It's hilarious, but also so very cute. Working with JbEG was super fast - the turnaround from CADs to finished ring was 2 weeks. I still owe you and Helio drinks so let me know!
@DuckLovingVegan - just to clarify - we actually purchased the OEC on our own, although JbEG, their website, and general awesomeness on PS definitely was one of the pushes for why we wound up getting an OEC. We picked them for the setting after seeing the beautiful Julia setting. OECs are so beautiful - really didn't realize how big of a difference they had with modern RB until I had mine set and saw it in person. It just sparkles so warmly and friendly comparatively. Couldn't be happier with the choice.
@SummerLove - the stone really does face up so much whiter with this setting. I don't know how it happened. Out of the setting and on the side you can definitely see the tint.
@Shimmer & Gothgrrl - the ring is a size 5 3/4. I have lost a little weight since I got sized so I'm guessing I went down to a 5 1/2. Depending on the day, the ring moves around a bit. Other days when I've eaten too much salt the day before, it fits perfectly. And thank you for the nice compliment
One of the specific requests we made was regarding the location of the prongs. We really think that made a huge difference too.
