Went to the Louvre... saw some sparklies

We just got back from a family vacation to Paris, and while there we visited the Louvre, of course. I was so happy to be able to see some of these exquisite pieces, and I thought you might like to see them too! The large solo diamond is the 141-carat Regent diamond, and the pink one is the 21-carat Hortensia diamond.

The colors in real life were amazing - the emeralds, rubies, and that blue in the sapphires! Wow! The Regent is an old mine I believe, and was just stunning. (click on the pics to enlarge them)
