Hi!
I feel the need to share with you all some pictures. I am stunned by this beauty and I cannot wait to get it set! I don't know if anyone else has worked with David at GOG before, he is just AMAZING! I did my share of changing my mind but he never ran out of awesome. I am glad I went with GOG.
My hubby and I celebrate our 10 years of being together next year (we've been married for 7). He and I agreed on a budget and he gave me full control over this project, "whatever makes Elysian happy." Our original e-ring is an estimated 1.2ct F-G MRB but something about it didn't mesh with me, hadn't worn it in years.
As I began my search, I chose my vendor first because I plan to upgrade. Setting after setting, love.. then meh, love... after a few days, meh... rinse, repeat. Then one day there it was, the setting I simply cannot continue existing without... from this, the choice for my stone was clear(er). But this part is a surprise for a later reveal.
The stone arrived this morning. When I opened the box I wasn't quite prepared for what it did to me... My eyes widened and a gasp, stunned, amazed, flabbergasted, and a brief "am i dreaming?" How could a diamond be this beautiful? And how could a K be this 'white?' I suspect the excellent cut has something to do with it. I'm color sensitive but the vanilla on this stone just works, if you know what I mean. And eye clean. So here are some iphone pics...
