Musey, I don't know if adults-only is a tradition, per se, but it seems to be a popular choice by a pretty large margin. I haven't been to a single "kids-welcome" wedding since I was a kid...maybe it's just my location/social circle.

Some additions to my list -- we're also not doing tuxes, and while I might have a veil (undecided), it definitely won't have a blusher. I don't particularly want a bouquet, but will probably end up with one. I don't think that we're going to have a DJ, so we might skip introductions, too...that sounds like an excellent idea. Finally, a judge or JP will officiate and it will be a completely secular ceremony.

From what I can tell, it''s just a choice that each couple makes on their own... most weddings I go to have kids present, and mine did as well, but I know that it goes both ways. Kinda like some people have only beer/wine/champagne, others want the full bar!

Ours isn''t "adults only" but it''s not "kids welcome" either! We have a very exclusive list of kids we''d like to have there.
