Wedding Wedding songs?

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for some songs for a first dance at a wedding. I'm not looking for typical song choices. It would be by band/artist/song writer. Well, at the moment, there is only one song "When I Take Your Hand" is coming in my mind and it's one of the finest wedding songs by shaun barrowes.

Well, is there any recommendation?

Google wedding songs, first dance and you will get websites with tons of recommendations. Then put them into YouTube to hear them. There are so many great options, just depends on your personal preference.

Find a song that fits you. Is there a song that was played at a special benchmark in your relationship?

Our song was "Babe" by Styx for several reasons.

The first date I went on with my husband, he actually just showed up at my house at nine o'' clock at night and said "wanna go to the beach and watch the cruise ships leave the port?" I asked my mom if I could go, and she laughed (us crazy high schoolers; I was 15 at the time, he was 17) and let me go. We had our own little picnic out on the beach and had a portable radio, and while we were out there, "Babe" came on. I was stuck humming it for weeks whenever I thought of him.

We entered a talent competition together with "Babe".

When we went to his Prom (we went to mine, too, but we didn''t dance and actually left half an hour into it), he requested "Babe" and had the DJ dedicate to us and "all of the high school sweethearts out there."

Finally, he proposed. His band was playing a gig at a local bar and they were finishing up when he called me up to sing the finale with him. We''ll cut the long story short: after he hammed it up onstage (to the audience, "so is this when I ask her to marry me?") and I said yes, we sang "Babe" together.

So when it came down to picking our first dance song, there was no question what it would be.

Think it over and talk it out together; you might be surprised what you''d come up with together!

I have a completely different perspective. In my opinion, if you have a "song," you know it. You don''t have to think about it. If it is very important for you to dance to that song, you should. Otherwise, think about what is important to you for your first dance song and come up with something that way.

For us, we wanted something fun and faster than a slow song, something that we could actually dance to, and something not so serious. I looked on Youtube for hours when it hit me that Can''t Take My Eyes Off You would be perfect for us. It''s definitely a love song, but it''s also a song that makes everyone want to sing along. Some people are of course completely opposite and want to slow dance and stare into eachother''s eyes the whole time, so it''s not the song for them.
