Wedding Ring Question

I have a 2ct Asscher (aka Square Emerald Cut

) in a heavy platinum mounting. I have yet to decide what type of wedding band I want (I know I want it in platinum, but I am unsure if I want baguette cut diamonds channel set or a plain band). So today, while in my local WalMart I saw two rings, both 10kt white gold, one a plain band, another channel set baguettes. Since they were VERY VERY VERY CHEAP, I bought them. I thought it would help me "play" around and decide what I liked better, before buying the expensive platinum ring.

Now I am wondering, will it really hurt my platinum enagement ring to wear 10KT white gold next to it for a week or two?

I hope not, as I am enjoying this "play" time!

I don''t think it will hurt, unless it is badly made and will scratch up the platinum ring. I have a wg wedding band I wear next to my platinum ering all the time!!
