Wedding/Eternity Band Advice - Avoid Needing Spacer

Hi all! I'm a longtime lurker on PS, and thanks to all the knowledge I got on here, I was able to help my fiance pick out a gorgeous ACA from WF for our engagement! We ended up choosing a 2.5 ct ACA set in the Vatche Venus setting and are very happy with the overall ring! Now I've started exploring wedding band options and as my ring seems to be set rather low, I'm looking for an eternity band style that won't damage the prongs of my ER (without needing a spacer band as I prefer the cleaner look of just the 2 rings together). Some of the options I'm considering from WF are the Vatche Serenity Band (although this one didn't seem as sparkly when I had the chance to try it on previously...) and the WF Harmony Band.

From my conversations with WF, I understand that these 2 bands provide enough metal "buffer" to protect the ER prongs, but I was wondering if there were other styles (either from WF or elsewhere) that would provide similar protection with a more delicate look. Would a setting like the below styles (1.9mm on left and 1.65mm on right) allow for enough protection to prevent rubbing? Would appreciate some recommendations!

Have we seen pictures of your new ring? Would love to see some and hear all about your new ACA diamond!

Any wedding band that has diamonds with exposed girdles will eat into your setting. A channel set band works as well. This is an age old problem as some of the prettiest bands have diamonds that will eat into the ering setting. I think some have found that a very thin spacer can help but I understand your reluctance to have one.

What style of pave won't scratch adjacent rings?

On PS.

Cflutist has a ring that is not channel set, but has side rails for protection. It’s called bright cut.

Sorry, I wasn’t able to make the link clickable.

Not the best photo, but taken when I went to try on some wedding bands :)

I was hoping there was a design out there that might minimize damage without being channel set (personally not the biggest fan of the style) but I suppose this is just the trade off between practicality and style haha

So pretty! What is the color/clarity of your diamond?

The band pictured with your ring is pretty. You could even go with bigger diamonds if you were willing to use a spacer. I was never a big fan of channel set diamonds either until I wandered into Tiffany & Co. one day and tried theirs on. It had very thin channels holding the diamonds which were very sparkly. I have had it for many years now and still love it. It is pictured in my avatar and various posts. The other thought might be to add a plain wedding band and then a diamond band. You could wear the plain band alone for times when you didn’t want to wear diamonds. This dilemma isn’t a new one and I wish there was a magic fix for it. You can do a diamond band that is a thicker setting allowing the channels to protect the ering. In that case, the diamonds could be prong set instead of channel set. Some bead set bands might work as well. If there is a Tiffany & Co. store near you, I would go in there to try on some of their bands - if not to buy, at least for inspiration. They tend to have a good variety of bands.
