Hi everyone! I haven''t been here in a while; I guess law school just got the best of me.

Now I have to start planning the wedding again and I feel really behind. I have to request which cake flavors I want to try at the tasting by Friday, and I wanted some input from you guys. I have a major sweet tooth and I think everything is going to taste great to me.

So, if you could pick one to eat at a wedding as a guest, which of these would it be?

1) White Cake with Raspberry Almond Filling and Fondant Icing

2) White Cake with Strawberry Almond Filling and French Buttercream

3) Pink Champagne Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and Cream Cheese Icing

4) Pink Champagne Cake with Marquise Filling and Ganache

5) White Cake with Baileys Filling and French Buttercream

6) Italian Cream Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and Cream Cheese Icing

7) Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and Cream Cheese Icing

8) Devils Food Cake with Marquise Filling and Ganache

9) Devils Food Cake with Baileys Filling and Ganache

Whaa? I can only pick one?

Anyhoo, if I have to pick one, I say #9 - yummo!!!

7! Followed by 8 and 6.

#9!

I third #9. That''s actually going to be one of our flavors too.

#5 and #4 both sound yummy to me, but I have been told I have odd tastes.

Number 2, followed by 3, maybe. Love buttercream. Dislike fondant or chocolate cake.

What is marquise filling?

What is marquise filling?

I have no idea. The pastry chef is out of town until Monday, and my requests are due Friday, so I guess I don''t really get to find out. I googled and didn''t really get a good answer.

I would go with #2. It''s a common flavor that a lot of people will enjoy. The others seem very specific.

For my own consumption, I'd choose red velvet! YUM!

BUT, a lot of people dislike cream cheese (my husband is one of them). I agree with fieryred that #2 is the least 'specific' flavor combo.

Can you only have one flavor? We had two in our cake, I think it helps allow for random flavor dislikes.

#3!!!

Really, all sound fantastic but #1 b/c I don''t like raspberries.

I would pick #7 Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and Cream Cheese Icing or #9 Devils Food Cake with Baileys Filling and Ganache

But I think that these guys might have more general appeal.
2) White Cake with Strawberry Almond Filling and French Buttercream
5) White Cake with Baileys Filling and French Buttercream

I hate white cake, so anything but that.

2 and 4! Yummmmmo.

2, 1, 7, and 9. In that order. Yum!

NINE! mmmmmmmmmmm

Red Velvet. Yum.

9,1, or 5 in that order.... can you tell I like Bailey''s??

7! i''m a red velvet nut!

#9 followed very closely by #6 and then #7. All in all, a very difficult choice you have to make.

Number 2 for me please, ty!

Hmm, I would definitely want to try 3 and 4. Pink champagne cake sounds so intriguing!

Any way you can do more than one flavor? It''s so hard to find one with universal appeal. Our cake will be three different flavors.

Ditto that, ours is going to be a few different flavors as well, probably three.

Not having tried all the flavours and having no idea what marquise cream is I would pick 9
18.gif
, they all sound good though :D.

those all sound lovely, but if i have to pick, i am going with #2 the white cake, straw-almond filling, buttercream.

a close second would be #9 with the bailey''s and ganache!

I would go, #5 (mmm...Bailey''s
18.gif
), #1 and then #8, in that order.

5) White Cake with Baileys Filling and French Buttercream

#9 because you can''t go wrong with chocolate (only weird people don''t like chocolate

)

#7 is one of my faves, so that would be another option...

Bia, I''m weird then! I prefer white or yellow cake SO MUCH over chocolate. It''s not even a contest for me! I don''t like fondant icing or cream cheese filling either, so the natural choices for me are 5 and 2. Although 4 is definitely intriguing...what''s pink champagne cake?
