Hello everyone!

Long time lurker, but this is my first post.

I got engaged last year, and I’m currently looking for a wedding band. My engagement ring is a 2 carat center with halo in 18k yellow gold (please excuse the poor photo). My initial thought was to get an 18k yellow gold eternity band. I really like the look of 10 pointers, but my engagement ring shank is delicate and only 1.8 mm wide.

Any suggestions on wedding bands? I’ll be honest, I really like a ring with presence, and would ideally like a wedding band that could stand on its own if worn alone. :D

Welcome!!!! And stunning ring!

Have you thought about styles? There are many styles prong set? Channel set do you like gaps? No gaps? Eternity band?
Bottom set is with 3.35ct RB with a slight metal halo so with your halo looks similar to my size I like to wear a substantial band that can be worn by itself with presence. This has almost 10 points but double bezel so it’s wide around 4.6mm

The asscher bezel set with the same design but with 10-11 pointers and about 4.8mm width

Both shank on the solitaire type ring are around 1.4mm and reverse taper to 3mm on bottom.

Not sure if that helps?

Hi D&T,

Thank you for your response and pictures! Your rings are beautiful. It’s nice to see the differences in widths, and how they can definitely work.

I prefer full eternity, prong set. Small gaps are fine. I’ve always liked the delicate look of baguettes in eternity bands, but they probably wouldn’t have as much presence when worn alone.

Have you thought of having alternating Rounds and Baguettes? or EC? of 3mm? As that is what it will equate to plus metal probably 4mm unless prong set then it'll be 3mm wide, still substantial as you'll see bling
