Hi Everyone,
I purchased a Tiffany Soleste replica diamond engagement ring from Mark @ ERD in November 2011 and it's now time to look for a wedding band. My fiance and I have done some looking around but we're not really sure what we want yet. A traditional eternity band will not sit flush against the shank of the engagement ring. For those who are not familiar with the Tiffany soleste, it's an engagement ring with a cushion cut diamond with a double halo. The shank begins to split as it approaches the double halos (attached picture of molding of setting), not allowing for a wedding band to sit flush against the shank. Tiffany's website does not show the Soleste with a matching wedding band although Tiffany has wedding bands that have a small bend/notch in them. My fiance and I are not sure what we like, a traditional eternity band with no bend/notch, or a custom wedding band that has a notch/bend in it to adjust for the curved split shank/double halo. I had Mark @ ERD create some renderings of what a custom band would look like that has a notch/bend in the band to wrap around the bottom of the halos, and that would sit flush. I think the thickness of the wedding band in the rendering is a little thick and if you look at the last picture (with diamonds) it looks like from a top view the notch/bend in the wedding band would stick out from under the halos. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts.
