Because of the way the design is, I cannot find a wedding band that looks good with the ring. I was thinking about just buying stackable eternity bands and not wear my engagement ring but I love it too much to part! anyone have suggestions.

Its a 1ct sapphire and .28 ct of diamonds.
I want more diamonds so i want my wedding band to be just diamonds no sapphires. Sorry the pics arent that great. it looks like a much darker sapphire when the flash isnt on.

p.s. it needs to be cleaned! ;)

Not a sapphire, but similar design. Do you like or not like a gap between your rings?'

gaps between rings do not bother me but the ones i have tried on make my finger look huge and puffy.

i was thinking about a rolling ring, but not sure how it would look and I cant find a jeweler in my area that carries them.

What a beautiful ring and gorgeous sapphire! Here is a picture of my sapphire ring which is similar, next to my wedding band. There is a gap between rings. Would that bother you at all? I think a smaller width on the diamond band[2.0mm or so] works better for these type of rings.

Keep trying all different kinds. It took me months to finally find the perfect band for my ER.

I love your ring! I think it would look great with a thin diamond band like one of Leon's string bands. Something low sitting in
particular. IMHO you wouldn't want to detract from your beautiful sapphire. Your ring is lovely.

That sounds to me like your e- ring, which I really like by the way, fits perfectly now and when adding a band that pushes it up it becomes to tight. That would be why they make your finger look puffy, at least that is what happened to me since my fingers are somewhat thinner at the base and then get a smidge plupper higher up.

thats exactly what happens. is there a way to avoid that?

Three ways to avoid it:
-resize the engagement ring a smidge bigger
-find a wedding band that is thin enough and/or curved so that it does not happen.
-wear a big enough wedding band above the engagement ring so that the engagement ring stays where it is

I would do nr 1 or 2. Find the band of your dreams and then check if you get a puffy finger If yes, then resize your ring just enough to take care of that. For example I need a 5 1/4 when wearing a halo plus a 2 mm band but can get away with a size 5 if I am only wearing one ring.

Have you tried any bands with a slight contour to fit around your halo?

Ladies, you all have SMOKIN' hot sapphire rings!!! I have a sapphire right hand ring but I stack sapphire and diamond bands with it, not all diamond.

I had a similar dilemma with my ering, and I choose a curved band:

Not a sapphire, but a demantiod garnet. I had the same issue with finding a wedding band as well. I went with a curved band. As you can see it isn't an exact match, but it is thin and dainty and didn't add too much bulk to my finger.

I don't want to break this topic but Taylorbug I see you middle nail and I probably have a solution for you.

Take a hot shower
Right after, you will see you nails are large
Don't wait they are dry, turn you hand down and apply a drop of nail glue under the nail
Take a toothpick and apply pression to enlarge you nail more and more if you can
When the glue is dry, you will see a big difference in your middle nail!
The curve will be less noticeable.

This trick will last for several weeks before you should do it again

Give it a try!
