website recommendation

Hello all,

I'm trying to complete a custom designed ring and I need two pear diamonds about .5 carat for each side. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reputable website for two loose diamonds with a decent price range. The two sites I was looking on were:

Can anyone give me a reason not to buy from either of these? Should I be asking for assistance from them to get a matched pair? I'd rather just pay slightly more to get a reputable website. The jewelry store quoted me $2640 for two pear diamonds which is why I turned to the Internets. Help me out if you have a good site you know of or have delt with these two before.

Any of the popular full service vendors on PS would be able to help you.

Blue Nile doesn't really provide pictures and it takes more than just matching some numbers to get a matched pair. Brilliance does not have a good reputation here, after ripping off photos from Whiteflash.

Thanks for your reply Julie, is there a vendor list? I was trying to find it I must be missing it somehow, sorry if it should be obvious.

I guess you have a center already. not every vendor will set outside stones. I know Engagement Rings Direct and Brian Gavin Diamonds will, and they will make you a very nice setting. BGD has several different pear-sidestone setting designs.
