Wearing platinum and palladium together?

Does anyone wear platinum and palladium together? My new e-ring will be platinum and I was going to get a 3mm platinum ring to go with it. But I know my DH is planning on getting me a platinum diamond band either in 2010 or 2011. Once I get that, I doubt I''ll wear the plain band with my e-ring ever. The plain band will become my gardening, gym, etc., ring.

So I''d rather not spend as much as a platinum band costs, and can''t wear white gold so I thought palladium would be a good alternative. Is the color difference noticeable? Or at all? Is there any reason not get wear a palladium band next to a platinum ring?

I wore a plain palladium band with my platinum VC engagement ring for 4 months until I got the matching band. I saw no drawbacks. The band was very light and comfortable to wear, and the color of the metal matched my engagement ring perfectly.

I think it's a great idea!

I''ll be getting a palladium ering setting, hopefully by the end of the week, and will wear it with my platinum wedding band from eweddingbands. I will take pics and post as soon as I get it!

I would not wear different metals together. Because they have different hardness, they will scratch one another.
