Hi guys, we received this ring in the mail yesterday, and it was beautiful! I however was in shock of how tiny it is in really life. Here is the link to the ring photos.

I would love to hear opinions, and of course I will come back with handshots when I''m proposed to.I would also like to add that I was in shock about how tiny it was when I received it.I was actually questioning if it was .74ct.Does anyone know why I would be skeptical?

I actually think it looks quite big. But we need a finger pic to really see the difference.

What a beautiful ring! It is not small, 5.8mm is what it should be for that carat size. Congrats on your soon to be engagement.

Thanks so much for the replies.I guess I was just in screen shock.I literally have not tried on a ring in over a year and the last one was a halo,It doesn''t help seeing all the gorgeous photos on pricescope either lol.

It''s a beautiful ring! I think the dimensions are within that carat weight. I can''t wait to see pictures on you!!!

here is a size chart ...

It''s a beautiful ring and 5.8 is a very good size! Mine is 6.0, so just about the same as yours! Enjoy your new ring and check out the ''real life perspective'' thread...I agree, all the close up hand shots on this site REALLY mess with your head, regarding actual SIZE in real life!

I have a .75, and those pictures look spot on for a .74. It''s a lovely ring!

Looking at the PS database, 5.7 mm to around 5.88 mm depending on depth. It looks like a pretty diamond, and the color is good. If you want to bulk it up later, look at insert rings or ring guards instead of a wedding band. You could get a halo effect that way without resetting it. That diameter of stone will show up nicely. If you sit and stare at it compared to a 7.5mm, it will look small. But people won''t see it as small. Congratulations on your upcoming engagement.

Hi Amzizzle!

As per our correspondence yesterday, I''m glad to hear you think the ring is beautiful! Rest assured, we unmounted and weighed the diamond and it is indeed 0.74ct, so I hope this is reassuring to you. As the other posters have stated, not only antique cuts face up smaller than their modern counterparts (due to depth) although this particular stone is actually comparable to modern cuts in terms of face up size.

At any rate, we are open to a trade too, as we discussed, in case you feel a slightly bigger ring is important or desired

Oh I''m already in love with it! I just had not seen a ring in person in so long, and my circle of friends rings have a lot of metal on them, they are not as delicate as this ring.I do love it and am dying to wear it!

I think thats not small at all. That is a high color for such price. Seems eye clean too. I really like the chameleon color it throws. Just lovely. Good find IMO. Congrats!!!

Gorgeous ring and amazing customer service that they reply on your post!

Yes I do have to speak about Grace''s amazing correspondence with me and just overall being a very nice person. She answered every question I had no matter how silly it seemed, and I have no doubt that I will do business with her again in the future.I highly recommend her for any antique purchases that you want to make!It was an absolutely perfect experience.

Aww everyone has been so sweet! I however did get to see the ring (my boyfriend brought it out of hiding for a minute) and it was a lot bigger then I remembered and absolutely stunning.I love it! Now only if he would just propose with it already lol. On a side note I do get to see it on Halloween when we drive down to get it appraised by Richard Sherwood.
