Wedding We have a venue!!!!!!!!!1

Hello ladies!! I am super-excited - we have decided on a venue for the tropical wedding of our dreams. We are booking tomorow when we finalise a date, but it should be 2nd Sept 09.

Imagine me, FI and a total guest list of about 18 people on a tropical beach resort in Palm Cove - Angsana Resort and Spa, Palm Cove. We will be married in a little chapel on the beach, and then while we are having photos and our guests are enjoying canapes and drinks, they will transform the chapel we were married in, into "Chapel Reflections", which will become our reception venue. Flares and candles line the gardens and the path back to our chapel. We can open up the folding doors to allow the warm balmy evening breeze in, and while we listen to the waves crash on the sand, my new hubby, me and our guests will be spoiled with our private chef and waiter who will attend to our every culinary desire for the evening. We will feast on a gourmet seafood BBQ buffet, and drink top shelf spirits and cocktails.

Afterwards the newlyweds will escape to our beachfront suite to enjoy our first night as Mr and Mrs Honey, I can''t wait!

The only pic I have at the moment of the reception setup, although with less than 20 guests, we can set up one table only and still have room for dancing.

Another example of reception setup, but we get to decide how we want the tables set up, and what type of flowers, centrepieces etc go on the table (included in the price and we don''t have to worry about a thing)

Thanks everyone! We love it too, it''s just perfect for us. We love the idea of running away and getting married on the beach, how romantic!

We live in Melbourne (south of Australia) and we are getting married in Far North Queensland (northern Australia). My parents live up there and it''s a really beautiful spot.

Thanks everyone for your kind words!!! We are just so excited now!! We arrived home late last night from our little wedding planning holiday and in the week I was there (FI came up for 5 days) we managed to book:

- ceremony venue
- reception venue
- florist
- photographer
- celebrant

Phew!! And we are all really really happy with each choice, no qualms at all. Bring on Septmeber 2nd 2009!!!!

Hehehe, oh darlin'', I would absolutely LOVE to get married in Australia! Unfortunately I don''t think we''ll be able to, although I have hinted to J that if we were to win the lottery, that''s where I''d choose in a heartbeat!
