Wax models - Need Help Deciding on Halo Size (1.5 or 1.0)

Hi All,

I received my revised wax molds today. We are trying to replicate the Tiffany Embrace Halo Ringt with our own touch. I really love the wax models but I can't decide which halo size to choose.

Center Stone will be 1 carat round brilliant.

Band will have 1.5 point diamonds.

Wax model on the left has 1.0 point diamonds

Wax model on the right has 1.5 point diamonds.

Can anyone provide experience on either size halo and what would be best for my ring? What I liked about the Tiffany embrace was that there was little metal showing, the halo wasn't clunky, from afar, the halo and center stone looked like one, and there was no space between the diamonds in the halo.

Thoughts? Originally, I had thought to go with the 1.0 diamonds. My Boyfriend likes the 1.5.

I LIKE the smaller halo but since the band stones are going to be like the bigger halo I'd probably go with the same size. I don't have a halo so I am probably not helpful at all.

smaller points. mine are 1/2 pointers. I think if they get too large compared to the center they will swallow the center stone. You want them to accent, not compete

heres an example of mine, though they were 2 pointers to half pointers, but i think it still gets the idea accross

I would personally do the 1 pointers. If you go to large it starts to swallow the main diamond. Google halos and you can see the difference with well done halos vs. bad/ tacky/

If I remember correctly AnneH has a 4ct old cut so her size melee will look completely different then on your 1ct RB. If you are looking at proportions though to her ring I would think the 1pts would be a very similar ratio.

Definitely the smaller ones. The larger ones will overwhelm the center stone.
