Hi
Just wanted to add a post. This may already be known to people but apparently shipping through the US postal service may not be the best thing for diamonds. They are using radiation to kill anthrax and this has a negative impact on diamonds potentially. Here is the GIA article:

http://www.gia.edu/newsroom/608/549/news_release_details.cfm

Most outfits ship through FEDEX. Don''t know if this is a worry there too.

Anyway...something to be aware of (as if thinking about color and clarity wasn''t enough!!).

I think you might confuse folks with this post...diamonds were NOT affected by this type of irradiation.

In fact, the USPS (Registered/Insured) is probably the safest way to send diamonds valued up to $25K.

I don't hesitate to use this service for diamonds...other gemstones (as pointed out in the article) may require more careful consideration.
