He can add the milgrain and engraving. I don’t know what he would charge though. I know @SimoneDi has him add engraving to her Blue Nile band and it came out beautiful. I think she even has it listed on LT and Preloved right now.
I would go with him if you can’t find something you love.
Also the nice thing is you can pick what you want instead of going with a design that’s premade. That is unless you find one that you love already.
I would definitely google different etching and engraving to see what’s out there.
No problem! I’m having David design a ring for me so I’ll be needing your advice soon enough! Lol
I didn’t click on all the Etsy links on the previous pages but this Etsy seller has a lot of etched or engraved bands that I love and a lot are under $300.

Sweet! I'm going to try to find it now!
@SimoneDi, what band did you order?

Out of curiosity, does anyone have an idea just how thin this style could be made without losing the aesthetic??
I have a 2mm band from Schubachs with this style engraving. It is amazing! I originally had DK engrave a white gold band for me and I prefer the Schubachs version. It is just perfectly engraved and has double milgrain on the sides. I will see if I can dig up the dk version.

That’s beautiful and I like it even more now that I see it with other rings.
I’d love to see the DK version for comparison if you can find pics... thanks!!

@msop04 please let us know about pricing bc I may want to order one myself.
Here you go!! I shared the same inspiration ring with both. I believe Teo from Schubachs did my engraving. The one from Schubachs is really smooth to the touch and the one from DK feels rougher. The one from DK was a flat band and the one from Schubachs is comfort fit. The inspiration ring had the little flowers but they didn't make it onto the DK band. Both are pretty but I ultimately preferred the yellow band. The photos look a little blurry because I had to screenshot. Hope they help.
Here's one for $339... what do ya'll think of the engraving and milgrain? It's so hard to tell with the super-magnified pics. Think DK would be that much better... or at least enough to justify the cost?

I'm insufferable, I know... sorry, ya'll.
I find this one really nice! I think it would look really beautiful in YG!
I found this one on David’s Etsy. It has a single milgrain on the edge. I’m sure he can adda double milgrain edge instead. It also looks more rounded on the inside.

So I heard back from Schubach’s... $950 for that band to be recreated. That just sounds really high to me for a 2 mm gold band... so it’s a no-go. Does that sound excessive to you guys, or am I just being cheap and naive??
I just checked my invoice I paid under five ($454) in 2014 for a size 5.5. That is a big increase.
I love my band but I do think that the price quoted is really high. If you purchased a band and sent it for engraving I wonder what the charge would be? That is a hassle though.
Hi @msop04 I haven't read the whole thread just the last few posts...have you contacted David Klass to see if he can do this for you at a fair price? He is very reasonably priced IMO.
