Hi, im new here this is my first post! Ok, here goes i am looking at this set we found at Fred Meyers at the mall.....

http://www.fredmeyerjewelers.com/Products/EW_Sets/999953-999938.aspx , they say that $6999 is the sale price for the set, how much do you think i could offer and walk away with it for? How much is this ring marked up do you think?

I also found what looks to be the exact ring at littman jewelers online .... for the same price http://www.littmanjewelers.com/Products/EW_S_BridalSets/999953-999938.aspx

Does anyone know of any place i could get this exact ring for cheaper? She is dead set on this ring and setting.

Any suggestions or idea what i could get this ring for?

Thanks

Hi fast,

I don't know what you could get them down to, you'll just have to figure out the most you're willing to pay and start out with a low offer.

What concerns me is the clarity of these stones. They are I1, which means they will almost undoubtedly have visable inclusions. Has she seen it in real life?

Yes , we have both seen it many times, i couldnt see anything with my eyes and neither did she... hmm

Agreed. I also wonder about the cut of the stones of course. A poorly cut stone won''t sparkle like a well cut one.

Ok. One more question, did you look at it under natural light, like by a window? Jewelry store lighting will hide a multitude of sins. If not, I would suggest doing so. If you have, and still can''t see anything, you''re good to go.

I will echo neat on the cut, which we have no idea about...If you can, get a look at some AGS0 graded Princess just to see what really well cut stones look like. That way you can compare and decide if this is still the ring for you. Cut makes a big difference in how a diamond sparkles.

I to have looked at the invisable settings because I think they are pretty, however, I have heard from our family jeweler that they will not sell them due to the durability issue, he said that the stone come loose and fall out very easlily.

I''m not sure I''d want the four tiny princess stones making one stone invisibly set for my main engagement ring. I rather have one main princess stone even if it was quite a bit smaller, but this is my personal opinion. As far as the setting goes, there are many pricescope vendors that could custom make it for you. You should call them up and ask for a quote to see what it costs. Whiteflash.com and knoxjewelers.biz would both do a great job.
