Hi

I live in UAE and I'm currently in process of buying a stone.
I have been presented with this stone today- attatched certificate and the dealer asked for it 75K $.
As in here you never pay the sticker prices and I know this one is waaay to high, but don't know what fair would be...
Any suggestions please...

It's marquise shape
4.02 ct Vs2
fluorescence nil
color F
griddle medium 3,5%
culet pointed
table width 61%
cr heigh 14,5%
pav.depth 50,5%
fininsh grade good

it's HRD certified and even that the stone is still in sealed box is very old 14/02/2005 ( you can rary see the stone the box is so scratched)

Please any advice on that.. I do like the stone..

Its almost impossible to give an estimate. The price would really be dependent on the looks of the stone (along with all the specs).
You can try doing diamond searchs on whiteflash and james allen to see what they have close to those specs but like I said...it really
depends on the look of the stone. You might (you should) want to take it to an appraiser and ask what the actual value of the stone
is in the market you are buying it in. You need to take into consideration is this stone coming from a B&M, on-line vendor
or second-hand market (pawn shop or individual). There is a list of appraisers under the Resources menu option.
