You know? Now I know this can happen. Something flukey happened, and I don''t know what, between CAD (which looked great) and actual finished piece, but I am lucky that my piece is being made by the nicest people on the planet and they chose to start over again from scratch. I''m keeping my fingers crossed.

FancyDiamond, have you checked with your jeweler to see what''s going on with yours? I know Christmas is the busiest time of the year but now we''re into Valentine''s Day.

LOL! We''re all already planning our next project

. They''re slowing us down! (I''m laughing at myself).
gemgirl, I got the photos of the completed jewelry today. This means the piece will be in my hands tomorrow. It is hard to tell from the photos if the necklace will look good on me. Somehow the pendant looks heavy, and it seems to pull down the necklace (V-shape formed).

Hope yours works for you.
FD, I hope you like how it turned out. Try not to judge from the pictures alone. Sometimes if looks completely different in person.

I called my jeweler today, to ask him to put a loop on it, after all: while on the one hand, I love the idea of the purity of the crescent over which I would loop my chains ... I think I would need a wardrobe of slender white and yellow chains in differing lengths to make it work.

And, hey, maybe someday! But in the meantime, I have a great lot of beautiful chains, so it only makes sense to adapt the pendant to them rather than vice versa, so ... loop!

+ side, he was quite amenable to this when I called.

- side, he also said, ''2? Tomorrow? Sure, drop by ... I ought to have got the crescent back from the caster by then ....''

I am not, mind you, bitching about my jeweler here: I love him, he is awesome, he is talented, etc. But if I did not bitch somewhere, I would EXPLODE.

I want my necklace. Is that really so much to ask?

Oh Circe honey, vent away! Don''t worry about us. And I heard that some people have spontaneously combusted, but don''t explode!

No, I know how you feel.....

Sounds like you''re in the home stretch Circe. Can''t wait to see pics!

Gemgirl I am glad they are making it right. Was this your bow? What was the problem anyways? Just curious!
Hey should we be calling you Dr. dd?? I read in another thread that you got your PhD. That''s fabulous!

I didn''t want to write about this but yes, it is my bow pendant. From what I have reasoned out from comparing the CAD to the finished piece was the CAD miscalculated the number of diamonds that would be needed to fill the halo. The prongs in the CAD were so big that they took up the space where the next diamond should have been. That produced a halo with big spaces between the diamonds. But in all honesty? I think my pendant was the first Novella pendant their shop made. The most important thing for any Pricescoper reading this to know is- B&L stand behind their work. They want their customers to be thrilled with every piece and they will do whatever they have to do to make things right. I really do believe that my situation was just a computer error. I''m looking forward to working on my next project with them very soon.
