LOVE it! You did a phenomenal job with the videos and photos!
Thank you!! Took a few weeks to perfect the technique, but I figured it out
What's your lighting set-up for this video to get the arrows to light up like that? So cool!
⁹It helps if you have a glass table to lay your phone down on to record through the glass. I set the ring dead center of the camera and adjust the focus. I used an led ring light from amazon. The key is to place the ring light right over the center of the stone and move the light up and down. You will then begin to see the facets light up. You will need to adjust the video settings to get the ISO and speed settings just right.

Wow, thank you for the tips! I didn't realize the ring light would be useful for both the dispersion video and the ASET image. And that's such a clever idea to shoot through a glass table. Thanks again!!
Please share more when you get the chance!
You're welcome! I couldn't find anything online that would explain how to see a diamonds light performance and fire dispersion at home, so I had to do A LOT of trial and error!! LOL
LOL, I asked Jon with Distinctive Gem that question under his YT video on Lab diamonds and graining. Q: "How do you test for fire and scintillation at home?"....great education here on Pricescope. We are always learning new things!
BTW: Your diamond is beautiful!
Thank you! I might do a write up or how to, for people at home that want to see if their diamond can perform like super ideal cut diamond or not.
That would be very helpful for us non-techie ppl!
Getting an ASET and Ideal Scope image in a set diamond has to be tricky! Here's mine taken with my little 6S iPhone. I almost went cross-eyed trying to get the best angle and accurate result! Of course my stone was not set yet.
