i''ve heard mixed things about this company...anyone here ever use them for stationary items?

i am considering getting personalized notecards to put our STD magnets in.

for those who have used this company, how is the quality? how is their shipping time?

thanks! :)

I''ve used them for a bunch of stuff, but the first thing I used them for was my STDs. I LOVE their quality and their shipping time is fast. Even on the slowest shipping I believe I got my STDs in less than 2 weeks. I wouldn''t keep using them if I didn''t love them

I used them for shower invites for a friend. Their quality was pretty decent considering the cost. Not top quality by any means but certainly worth it for the price!

one more thing, I forgot to add, you should sign up for their email, you get free offers all of the time.

I used them for our save the dates. We got postcards as STDs and were able to design them by uploading our own picture. The turn around time and customer service was awesome. I highly recommend them!

I just got my DD's b-day invites printed there...

pros:
cheap
fast
can upload your own design

cons:
decent but not perfect quality
sometimes they won't do bleeds
no many choices (paper color, thickness, etc)

ETA: I should add since I work in graphic design I am picky when it comes to printing quality and paper. I am sure most people don't notice or care.

As gtn linked above, I did my STD postcards for free through vista print. Definitely join their mailing list - you''ll get links for 100 free postcards/other stuff all the gosh darn time. My postcards were delivered in record time, and the design was exactly what I expected. Everything was lined up right, the colors were right, fonts were crisp, etc. The cardstock is a nice weight, glossy on one side and matte on the other. One note is the printing process they used isn''t absolutely perfect, so there was some bleed from the bright burgundy color into the white areas. It wasn''t anything anyone else would notice, and it served our purposes just fine (can''t beat it for free!), but I figure it''s only fair to warn you. It probably depends on what colors and stock you use whether you might see the same thing. I''ve heard tale of some people having vistaprint''s logo showing up on their items, but ours were ad-free. I don''t know if that is case of good luck, which product is ordered, whether the design is one of theirs or one you upload yourself, or something else. The next time I get one of their free offers in my inbox I''ll be ordering us some address stamps.

thank you very much everyone! :)

i am working on a folded note card to put my STD magnets that i made inside of, they have a cute beach scene with the back of a bride/groom looking out towards the sunset that i like. i was going to just buy blank notecards and print the info inside myself, but its just as cheap to just have them do it.

plus i found a coupon code online and its taking $10 off the order. (i''ve learned to always google "coupon code + place you are ordering from to try to find coupons)

going to finish up the text tonight and place the order...thanks again as always for being so helpful! cant wait to get emails for free stuff!

In my experience you can do better than $10 off your order with their coupon codes. I''d hunt around a bit more if I were you!

I haven''t used them, but my friend has been raving about them since she ordered her STD''s. She''s completely happy with them.

thank you!!! i will do that today! :)

Hi, I made one mistake when ordering stationary and ended up with a vistaprint logo on the back of the folded cards. Not cool. I did find out that I could delete this by moving it off the card, and I ordered even more cards (with the emailed discounts) without, (but still used the logo''d ones as well). So you might want to place your first order for a smaller ammount to make sure you like them, turn around is quick and they are very inexpensive, and see if there are issues that you need to resolve, or if you need to find another vendor.

Note: I did order more items since that original mistake, we used postcards for invites to our RD, they turned out fantastically, with excellent bleed and photo quality, however there was a 1mm white border stripe on the bottom edge that I could have papercut this off, but didn''t care that much. I think what lots of people are touching on is, how much do you care...and about what? Only you can answer if VP is right for you/your needs.

just found a 50% off coupon code.

how did you remove the logo from the back?
im ordering notecards and dont see any way to look at the back on there.

DMB, I can''t remember but I think they ask if they can put the logo on (for a cheaper price). I always upload my own design so maybe that is why. I have NEVER gotten ANYTHING with their logo on and I have ordered quite a bit from them.

Hi,
Just wanted to say that I''ve used Vistaprint and thought they were great! The items always came before their expected time, great quality and I was very pleased. I ordered a few different things and was happy with them all.
Good luck!

just got my vista print order and the notecards did have "www.vistaprint.com" on the bottom. it doesnt bug me that much, but i just wanted to let people know. overall, the quality is very good - i got what i paid for - and the shipping was much faster than expected.
i would order from them again!
(but i would be careful about reading all the boxes to check on the order form online after reading about someone else who was enrolled in something they werent expecting to be paying for....luckily i wasnt enrolled - i called to make sure)

I just ordered my STD''s from them... business-card sized magnets - 50 for $7! I also got free return address lables. I hope they don''t put their website on the front of them, though. I''ll let you know once I''ve recieved them. I selected the "slow" shipping.

wow, what a great deal on the magnets!!!!
i did a few magnets to send to certain people for fun and spent more than that - great job!
silly me printed up wallet sized pics and put them on business sized adhesive magnets....i would have rather ordered them!

Hey DMB! Just wanted to let you know that I received the magnets yesterday (their "slow" shipping said 21 days, I got them in 8). Overall? Meh... but I can''t complain, considering the price I paid. I think w/shipping the cost for 50 magnets and 144 return address labels was $12 and change.

I scanned one into the computer so I could post it. You can see how the top edge is a little rough, like it didn''t cut cleanly. This is on all 50 of them. Fixable with a little fine sandpaper. But a slight pain in the butt. The other thing I am slightly ticked about is that yellow line above the B & G and below the date (transition from the darker green to lighter)... There wasn''t supposed to be yellow (our colors are green & pink!). However, I will admit it''s not as bad in person as in the scanned pic.

I didn''t put the city, either. There is only 1 couple flying in from OOT. Everyone else lives within 2 hours from where we live. Plus, the ceremony is just outside the city, and the reception is in Philly, I figured I''d save any confusion by just not putting in the city. Most of the guests know we''re getting married locally, anyway.

So, overall, I am happy. You really can''t beat that price. The postage is the most expensive thing! I''m waiting on my e-bay envelopes so I can send them out!

Ok, here''s the pic:

Shoot I have to rename the file. Will try again

one more time:

Oh, I forgot to mention, there is no www.vistaprint anywhere on the magnets

ETA: I just saw the pic posted, and the colors are not true-to-life. The green for some reason took on a funky yellow hue in the scan. It's more like a spring green IRL.

thanks for posting those, lynnie. i see what you mean about the top, but it still looks better than my DIY ones....it was such a pain to cut the magnets to match the pictures....i guess i am just not a crafty person.

i''m learing you get what you pay for from them...and thats fine, considering how ridiculously cheap they can be. i would use them again for sure...maybe not for my INVITES, but definitely other things in the future :)

pink and green - love it!
