I'm considering an 0.51 carat DVS1 round diamond - everything is great about it except both the photograph and IdealScope images seem to show a very visible (in the images) occlusion (look at right side in images lined below):

I spoke to James Allen today and they are going to take a look at it and get back to me. Of course upon receiving it I'd be able to do a thorough inspection but I was wondering if any forum regulars have any opinions on how much I should be concerned about this.

Thanks!

I seriously doubt you would be able to see that inclusion with the nakd eye, particularly in a .51 ct stone! It looks like a beautiful stone, BTW!!!

Relax. You will never see that spec without a loupe or a microscope.

Beautiful stone.

Wow, do you realize how magnified that image is??? I have a VS1 and I cannot see inclusions with a 10x loupe. No worries with VS1, seriously!

Quaditto the other ladies - nothing to worry about!

GR, unless you have bionic eyesight, you''ll not see that with the naked eye.

The images are the size of my entire hand; think about how big that is in relation to real life. Size those pictures down to represent the real life size of an eraser on the top of a pencil and then see if you can see it. I''m guessing you won''t be able to.

I''m pretty sure you won''t be able to see inclusions in any VS1.
