I know this isn't everyone's taste but it is mine...love the vintage look, the finger coverage and the colors.
But I am on the fence on whether I want to pay what is being asked because I am buying it more for the look/style. Usually, I buy vintage costume so spending this kind of money on this part of my jewelry wardrobe is more than I am used to. I assume its a mid 20th century vintage reproduction.
Specifics: As mentioned, it is 18kt gold (over 7 grams). My jeweler wants $600 and won't go down. He paid $510 for it from a customer and is including free sizing (up 3 sizes so needs to add gold). Another problem is the diamonds are chips. He did offer to replace them for another $100 (free labor).
I have no idea what a ring like this is worth and whether I should just leave the chips or replace them to preserve the look. Thoughts?
