My great uncle left Canada and went to Bahrain to work on a road project. He was there in 1944. He came home with this ring. It says Bahrein 1944 on the ring. Note the different spelling on the ring. Bahrain was aslo referred to as Bahrein up until the 1950’s. My relative said the King of Bahrain was giving out the rings to the people working on the roads. On the side of the ring is an etched camel (I think). On the other side of the ring it looks like the symbols y and l. Do you know anything about this ring?
