Hi I am loving everyones OMC and OEC rings. does anyone have any good sources for vintage finds?

thanks!
btw- I wont complain if you feel like including pictures of your vintage rings

old world diamonds

jewels by erica grace (my fave)

goodoldgold (for new OECs and OMCs--their August Vintage Cushions are amazing!)

ebay--seriously, there are some great deals and really nice stones, but you have to look carefully and make sure there''s a good return period/policy.

i also think dover jewelry has some great deals.

oh yes, Dover is fab!!! that''s where I got my five stone for like 1/3-1/4 of what it would have cost anywhere else.

pawn shops, craigslist

Ebay, pawn shops and family owned stores that are willing to do co-signments are the places I''ve found good ones. My best deals were from Ebay amazingly. You just have to look for someone with a good return policy and great feedback. Online is hard but if you are willing to take the time to scour through thousands of listings you can usually find something awesome.

Most of mine are ebay finds, with one exception that I got from OldWorldDiamonds.com. It''s riskier but if you have patience the prices can be really great. I only buy from reputable sellers with return policies however- keep in mind that you can negotiate a return policy sometimes, even if the seller doesn''t usually allow returns. Usually I ask a number of questions, if I''m unfamiliar with the seller, to see how responsive they are mostly. Doverjewelry has their own website and they also sell on ebay, and they really do have great deals sometimes... though their descriptions can be a bit off sometimes.

Jewelsbyericagrace.com has lovely stuff. Erica & Grace are lovely to work with too.

OldWorldDiamonds.com is nice because they have a large inventory that is actually physically present in their store- you can call up and they''ll pull stones out and look at them for you. Adam is really nice and helpful and has a great eye- the one he suggested out of the group I was looking at is gorgeous.

You can also search antique stores and pawn shops in person. You can for sure find some excellent things in them on occasion. My best in-person finds are usually an old cut stone reset into an ugly setting like from the ''60s or ''70s or something. Those, sellers don''t always look at too closely and thus you can find some great bargains like that. (For example, I have two matching 1/2 carat OECs in really ugly ''60s era settings that I got for $200 each... eventually they''ll be earrings, after I get over the fact that the settings will be more expensive than the diamonds .)

I have purchased from both lisssa and designer jewelry investments on EBAY. The only issue that I have had is the grading is quite "lax" from ebay. Maybe I am just OCD about my purchases and want them to be exactly as they have stated. I made a $2000+ purchase from one vendor that I liked, but ended up not "loving"...so I was able to return it for 100% refund. It only cost me $7.00 to ship it back. (It did take a bit longer to get the refund then expected, but at least I got it!). The first ring I purchased from lisssa was decscribed as a G-H, but was clearly K-L from the appraiser. Even though it was past her return policy, she still offered to take the ring back. I liked the ring a lot and decided to keep it--I just didn''t like that it wasn''t "EXACTLY" as described. You can find a lot of great deals -- just have to siphon through them and ASK A LOT of questions.

I have also recently found http://www.liveauctioneers.com/ Only problem is they will tack on 18-23% "buyer''s premium" to your purchase. So be prepared to spend more than what you bid.

I have found most of mine just as the others have. Here are some oldies for you.
