Hello!
Im sharing this stunning vintage 18ct gold geranium leaf brooch with a 0.4ct rose cut diamond inset: (a new purchase). It is stamped CB 750 (Carl Bucherer of Switzerland).
My question is this: what age would you say this piece is? Rose cut diamonds were produced until around the 30s and trombone clasps introduced in the 40s.
Ive only found only one example of a Bucherer geranium leaf brooch on 1stdibs - without diamond - which claims theirs is 1980s.
However, their clasp is not the same, and their stamp (directly on the stem) is not in keeping with Bucherer vintage fine jewellery examples. Im completely befuddled!
Would love opinions on this, pretty please!

Just a followup, Bucherer were not of any help as they do not retain archival information.
This is puzzling to me: surely a brand with a 140 year timeline at some point should think to hire an archivist to preserve the brand's legacy.

That is odd indeed. I’ll also keep looking and tell you, if news come up. The stamp is def Bucherer.
