Hi!

This is my first time sharing...it has been 4 weeks since I ordered my solitaire from Leon Mege, with an antique cushion sourced by Perry. I thought I would have the ring by now...am very anxious to see it! Haven't seen the stone in person yet, and it will actually be the first antique cushion I have ever seen in real life!

Thank you, everyone! This is my first upgrade after 10 years of marriage, and is my anniversary gift :)

I wonder if the culet (am I correct that the vertical line visible through the table is a "reflection" of the culet??) will be as noticeable once the diamond is set? It is pretty obvious in the one photo I saw of the stone, and I am hoping it doesn't bother me in person. I am used to it looking more like a rounded square in most photos I see of antique cushions, and of course the AVCs.

I was hoping to get the ring this week but my husband finally called to check today (my emails were not getting a response) and he was told probably next week. I can't wait to see it!

My diamond has a large square culet - probably similar to surface area as yours. it is barely noticeable in real life. I suspect yours will be barely noticeable when set too.

I completely understand how anxious you are right now. I went through exactly the same stage about 5-6 weeks ago, when Leon's quoted 5-week deadline was approaching. My pendant is a little more than 5 weeks late (still waiting for it), but I hope yours will be finished on time!

Cookie: 5 weeks late??? That's no good! Has he said why your pendant is so late?

I just went with a plain solitaire for now...kind of regret not getting some lovely tapered French cut sides although all the pretty ones I have seen here on PS have huge center stones. Maybe that will be my next upgrade. In another 10 years. Ok, maybe 5...I will eventually need an AVC I think! Also very fond of your gorgeous split shank, Charmy! :)

I love plain solitaire! It is so classic. Cannot wait to see it on your hand.

When my pendant was due, Rachel told me they just started working on it, and they expected to complete it within two weeks. After two weeks, I didn't hear from them so I called Leon. He apologized as soon as we got on the phone, and promised to call me the moment it is completed. He even had Rachel send me a picture of the finished basket (the stone was to be set). He apologized so sincerely that I didn't ask for an explanation. My guess is the promotion he offered back in June (or before that) got him quite some business and that kept him busy. I will call him again tomorrow to check the status.

It's here! Never got glamour shots from Leon, so my hubby is taking forever to get some macro shots. Will post them soon. It is very pretty, super sparkly. Looks a bit smaller in person (guess I'm used to all the photos of the gorgeous huge rocks on PS! :) ) and the prongs are super tiny! I love how low it sits on my finger. Photos soon!

Cookie, I hope you get your pendant soon. Actually, I was a bit disappointed that I haven't heard back from my last several email inquiries to Leon (twice I inquired about buying a band, but I never got a reply), and when I emailed Rachel about photos, never got a response from her either.

Yay! Cannot wait to see the pictures, especially hand-shots!

I got my pendant this Tuesday. It is lovely and amazingly delicate. There was a very minor problem though.. Leon forgot to add a jump ring to the chain. When I was trying to decide whether or not it would bother me in the future, I got an email from Rachel, apologizing for the missing jump ring on behalf of Leon. So on Wednesday I gladly shipped my pendant (the chain is attached to it) back, to have the jump ring added.

I also noticed that Leon/Rachel didn't reply to most emails initiated by me. Phone calls worked fairly well, though. He was very nice on the phone. You should try calling him about the band. I think some vendors prefer phone calls (e.g. Leon), and some prefer emails (e.g. Victor; I have a new project going on with him, and he replied to most of my emails within an hour).

Again, congratulations, and show us a lot of pictures of your new ring!

The photos we took last night won't attach...maybe the files are too large. Ugh, hope to figure this out so I can share some photos.

I noticed that too, Cookie. I contacted Victor first about doing my ring, but Perry got me a better deal on the diamond so I ended up going with Leon. He was good about replying to my emails initially, but Victor was always great...loved that! :)
