Hi everyone,

I got the video back from GOG of my 3 diamond comparison, they told me one of them is 100% eye clean the other two are 99% eye clean, i don't know which diamond is which since they didn't tell me in the email, however i can already tell one is biggest than the other two and i can see some of the inclusions, let me know what you guys think, i will ask them again to find out.

I honestly could not tell the difference btw the three and even though the 1.05 is the bigger stone a quick glance didn't reveal that to me. Only after looking real close could it detect it. They all seem to be good stones and display lots of sparkle IMO.

Oh, gee...eenie, meenie, minie mo! :wink2:

I would choose the 1.05...it is slightly bigger in diameter and has a smaller table:

Please leave some feed back if you are reading this thread, cause i already paid them i really want to pick the best one, thank you.

I don't care for #2 from the photos on the site at all. I IMMEDIATELY saw the inclusion in the main photo without needing the magnified images.

If you can see the inclusions in the video, then pick one of the ones where you can't see the inclusions. The 3 diamonds look the same to me except the one on the very right looks a little tiny bit bigger. I would pick the cheapest one. Good luck.

I had a hard time picking out one that did not look perfect on that video!! I don't know how you can chose based on that... but based on specs - do you prefer size? price? If they are all eye clean (and 99 - 100% is pretty darn eye clean for my eyes!) then I'd go w the larger 1.05ct diamond.

Ame - I picked out inclusion in the video on diamond #3 and #2 right away too, i also think the inclusion on diamond #2 is darker and bigger than number #3, however Matt from GOG told me not to go for #3 because of the inclusion on diamond #2 it's much much harder to see in real life and he also suggested me to go for the biggest diamond and the video is magnified.

I would also choose the 1.05. On the video all are lovely and the third one on the right seems slightly (just slightly) bigger, which is the 1.05. I agree with what someone said above that the first one you could see the inclusion easily and it's right in the middle.

They look pretty much the same in the videos as far as sparkle goes, even size.

I would get the 100% eye clean diamond even though I couldn't tell which was 100% eye clean. For $$$$ I wouldn't want to see any inclusions, ever.

edit:
my guess is that this is the 100% eye clean one...

I am not an expert though

DopplerShift - sorry that's the one they told me not to pick

This is the latest update about the 1.05ct diamond from Matt at GOG

"I mentioned that the diamond has over a 99% chance of not being seen. So it's less than 1% chance of being seen, but not zero.

The reason why you can see the inclusion in the video is because we used a setting where the camera is magnified (almost like a microscope, but not nearly as powerful)."

What is the definition of eye clean he is using? My definition is "can I see ANY inclusions at all without a 10x loupe, at all, period, ever from any direction except literally facedown, even unmounted, in any lighting?" If so, it's not eye clean.

I personally would not really be comfortable with any of them, I'd go down a hair in size and up in clarity because I'd not want the risk. But that's ME.

I would go with the largest one.
But if you are going to be looking very hard for the inclusion/or want it to be more mind clean then go for http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/10560/
Personally I think they will all be gorgeous and you can't go wrong with either.

the one on the right 1.05 my choice

seriously they are gorgous and i believe he said under microscope which is way more than 10x Go with the 1.05 it is gorgous

they look the same to me in terms of brightness and fire. The one on the right looks bigger to me which I'm leaning towards. If it's eye clean it's eye clean. Why not order it in to see it for yourself? if you can't locate the inclusion without a loupe than why not?
