I just found out that I''m getting deployed in the military. So wedding plans have been bumped up qoute far so we need to get rings very soon. For me I like this one that I found on mondera.com, but I wondered if any other vendors carried it for less? Here is the link

http://www.mondera.com/jewelry/product.asp?mscssid=FQUST8HGXPH78LBQNPMB2X4UUFGSE6D5&partno=3004398&navbar=wedding

If for some reason the link does not work the ring is a satin finish in the center, 14k gold, and costs $195, that should be enough to find it.

For her ring we found one locally that we love, but cannot seem to find it on the net. The closest we found was here:

http://www.bestgem.com/diamonds_productdetails.asp?cat=9&path=1&id=745&diamname=

This is a three stone wrap that would look good with her solitare .75 carat. She likes it O.K. but would prefer to have a wrap with only two stones on each side, like we saw in the store.

I really believe that we can find these online, but I just don''t know where to go. Please help me out, and if you are a vendor definitely shoot me an email at destarr0121@msn or [email protected] because we want to clear up this headache very quickly. If we hear, or read nothing tonight, we will probably end up getting the other ring at the store tommorow. This is something that I would love to avoid.

Vendors- if you respond before 4:00 cst today, please respond privately here on this site, I'm not able to look at msn or yahoo till after 6:00 tonight. Thanks

I have not gone to look at your pictures, as you said, the links do not work, but I have a comment.

If you are going to be going to a combat zone and you are getting married just before you leave do you really want to get her the wrong ring to save a few dollars?

Your local retailer will be more than the internet, but he has invested time and money into his location and in having the ring that she likes in stock. If you had time to have it duplicated I might think that was a good plan, but if you amortize the cost of getting her the ring she wants NOW over the expected life of your marriage, then you are probably talking a few pennies per day to get her the ring she really wants. This is going to be very hard for her to stay behind while you go off to war, please consider the emotional trauma of then adding to her disappointment a ring that she really does not like. If you absolutely can not afford the ring she wants, then get her a plain band with the promise of having the ring of her dreams made for her at a later date rather than spending money on a ring that she will not like.

Eh Wink has a great point. I'd rather have something temporarily and know that when you got back, we could choose the real ring together...as a celebration of your return. Or the ring I really wanted...as it would have more sentimental value in your absence. The wrong ring just doesn't sound right.

Thanks Mara,

I am a sentimental old geezer, soon having been married 31 years in August, and I have been with this same wonderful woman for about 34 years now. Fortunately I got my combat duty done before we met so she never had to go through that, but I have great empathy for both Destarr and his new bride to be, these will be difficult times for them and all of their loved ones.

Good luck Destarr, and thank you for standing up for your country, I wish you well in your search and in your service.

Thank you guys for supporting me, but the reason I'm going to look online is because I will be saving about 500 dollars by doing this. This may not sound like a lot in the long run, and I agree. Unfortunately, I'm stuck here in the short run and have to pay for a wedding and college for my fiance in the fall. She will not be working in the fall and the military is not going to pay me as much as I was making, so budgets are tight now. We have already "loosened the belt" to provide for a wedding made in 10 days, I would still like to send my future wife off to college. 500 dollars will make a huge difference to the college, I promise you that.

Once again thank you for the support, but what I really could use is solid information on where I can get rings like I want. My fiance does not want to settle, neither do I, but we do not want to waste money on a ring, only to lose out on college.

oops-didn't mean to do this

Well, I never thought I'd be linking to Zales, but this was the closest I could find that wasn't from some unknown website that might not be legit:

1/2ctw. ring enhancer with 4 stones in 14k yellow gold

I'd want to know at least the color and clarity before making a purchase.

Or, through Amazon.com:

1/3ctw four stones in 14K white gold

I don't know if this ring is what you're looking for or not:

14k white gold 5mm for $75 This has milgrain instead of the satin/high polish and is NOT comfort fit like the other one (you get what you pay for)

14k white gold 5mm plain for $55

Honestly, the sites that most PriceScopers frequent don't have an assortment of wraps or wedding bands for less than $200. Amazon has a bunch of other listings that you might want to check out. I've had problems with (non-jewelry related) purchases made through Amazon.com when a third party is involved (one vendor signed me up for a stupid religious newsletter, and the other claimed that they couldn't send me some videos for months because they had sent them to the wrong person and that person wouldn't send them back), so I'm not recommending them, just trying to be helpful. And then there was the time that my parents spent hundreds of dollars ordering me things from Amazon for Christmas, and they didn't come in time and I had no presents, but let's not whine and complain.

I would definitely go with Amazon.com or Zales.com over some website that you found on Google randomly though. At least these are high profile companies with customer service departments.

Thanks for all the help everyone, I bought here locally and given that I work for the largest ins. company in the U.S. I got a major discount at Roger and Hollands. They were able to get me the wrap phoenix girl showed for just under $400, and I changed my mind from the brushed white gold to a very similar titanium ring. I work on a farm when I'm not working at the "farm" so I needed a durable ring and the white gold will "brush" off too fast for me. What do you all think of titanium? BTW it only cost me 100 for that ring, not too bad I say.

Congratulations on our upcoming nuptials! Best wishes to you and yours . . .
