Hello all. I finally picked up my engagement ring and wanted to share the design with you. Thanks to everybody at PS for the education and inspiration.

The center is 1.496-ct G-VS2 ACA from Whiteflash. Thanks to Brian Gavin for helping me pick it out a few years ago.

The setting is Verragio Insignia 7033 in platinum, size 6.5. Thanks to Raj at Highglow Jewelry in Artesia (that''s near LA) for workign with Verragio. That''s the best price I could find on a Verragio ring and very good customer service. Interestingly, I asked WF to quote me on a similar "inspired" ring, and their quote was more expensive than the original Verragio.

I would highly recommend Brian Gavin, Whiteflash and Highglow, they were a pleasure to work with.

it''s gorgeous! Can''t wait to see hand pics

Here''s the view with the matching Verragio wedding band. I don''t get it until August, but the pics were taken at the store. It''s very delicate...

Beautiful - gorgeous diamond, incredible setting. And your photography skills are wonderful!

Gorgeous! So sparkly!

Wow! Congrats! That''s a whopper! It doesn''t surprise me that Whiteflash''s custom quote was more than the original. Something so intricate like that would be hard to "recreate" - whereas Verragio''s already done all the leg work on it & has all the patterns & molds etc already done.

Something so specific like this -- I think its usually best to go with the original designer. CONGRATS!!!

Wow, look at that setting. I''ve never seen that style before.

Congrats on your beautiful ring.

OH WOW!!! Your ring took my breath away!! It''s absolutely stunning!

Yes, I agree, it''s a lot more work to re-create this design from scratch. Another reason to get the original Verragio is that the "swirly" design underneath is supposedly patented by Verragio and is supposed to keep the ring from spinning. So WF would not have been able to re-create that design exactly.
I''ve worked with WF on custom pieces before and they did a great job. But you are right, sometimes we just need to go with the original!

Exquisite!

Wow, that is one of the prettiest halos I have seen! I love the undergallery!

Your ring is breathtaking! It''s the most intricate design I have seen. You are one lucky lady!

Stunning.

What a beautiful ring. I just loveit. It is so delicate. We need to see more hand shots and pictures.
I experienced a similar situation with whiteflash regarding makeing a replica ring-they were charging more than the original. But their service is very good and their ACA are gorgeous. I hope I can work with them in the future.

Happy Wedding
