Hi Peeps,

On a different note, I have wanted these all year roses for several years now. I first saw them at Nordstrom probably 3-4 years ago, and thought they were pretty but never took the step to purchase them. Strangely, I have kept thinking about them over the years. So I took a leap of faith and bought a box. Anyone else have them, and what do you think? =)2

Oooh I once saw something like this (not sure where though) and they looked so pretty! I wonder if they really last so long.
Which color did you choose?

Confused here.
I thought Nordstrom was primarily a clothing store.

Does Nordstrom now have a garden/nursery department, selling live plants?

They feature different vendors now and then.

... who sell live plants, this time rose bushes to plant in gardens? :eek-2:
Serious question.

Back in the 80s I shopped at Nordstrom.
Since then all my clothes are from thrift stores so I haven't kept up.

@kenny These flowers aren’t typical flowers but more of a branded lifestyle product. Also they last more than a few months.

Ah ha, thanks.

I looked it up.
They are not alive, but were.
They are real and preserved and claimed to "last" a year.
Freaky.

So what happens in a year?
The not-changeable lithium ion battery dies, like an iPhone? :lol-2:

I've never heard the term lifestyle product.
I should get out more ... oh wait. :???:

Oh that blush color is gorgeous!

Aren't you a little worried they'll get dusty and drive you crazy? I see these in inflight magazines from time to time, and sometimes think I'd like to buy them. But I know I actually enjoy tossing flowers away after a while. And if it's a more permanent fixture then I'd rather have something like a bonsai or orchid on my bench where its easier to douse it in water every once in a while.

Ugh i managed to kill an orchid! This would be great for me

It might. No guarantees. I’m willing to try it. If after 5-6 months I get sick of it or they look nasty I’ll just toss them. Still nice to have maintenance free roses for a while.

I buy flowers for my house every week. I've looked at these ones many times and been tempted; it can't possibly be more expensive than replacing them all every 7 days! As @qubitasaurus mentioned above, it's the potential dustiness that gives me pause. But by the same token, people have artificial flowers and pot plants that last ad infinitum, and yet manage to dust those, so there must be a way.

@LLJsmom - can you give us an update in a week or two as to how these are holding up? I'd love to hear and will jump on the long-term-flower train if it works out for you. Thank you! :wavey:

A quick blast with canned air works wonders for removing dust from things like this. (It works a treat on my kids’ Lego models anyway!)

I think they look great and would love to see a couple of real life photos once you receive them.

For sure @mrs-b . I am not sure when I will receive them due to our delayed situation these days but will post pics and reviews on a regular basis.

@lissyflo CLEVER girl. I may try that and keep it at a distance, lest I blast a petal or two off, Yeah, I will figure out a way to blow some air on it to get the dust off. But I have discovered during LifeDuringCovid that there are three things in life that are permanent: Death, taxes, and dust...

I've had these flowers! They were great, they looked the same for the 6 months I kept them, but their scent didn't last as long. I would have kept them longer but the color was not my favorite. Other than that they were lovely!

Just arrived. So much sooner than I expected. I did not make a mistake with the color choice. Initially I went with the white box, but something kept nagging at me. I found the soft pink suede box which I love with the blush. Very monochromatic but soothing and soft. Just what I need in these times.

to me the roses were in lovely condition. I wasn’t expecting super tight buds, but soft partially open, squished together, yet not damaged look.

scent not as strong as I expected. I’m good with that as I don’t think I could tolerate a strong rose scent in my room for long.

a lovely sight as I get ready for bed at night.
My biggest question. Does the sushi stay?
:twisted2:. May need a new home...

Beautiful! And yes, sushi stays!

They are beautiful.

Beautiful! I love the Blush color of the roses.

I am very glad you posted this thread, as I think I will buy one of the Le Mini rounds for my mom's upcoming birthday :)

What I noticed during my research:

At first I was considering Fleurs de Paris, but could not find a YouTube review on it. Found some posted reviews that were not positive. Found several for Venus Et Fleur. Mostly favorable.

lejardininifini was my second choice. But so many of their options were completely sold out.

Then I found venus et fleur. The reviews were consistently positive and they have plenty of stock. Their prices are higher but I also like the colors of roses they offer more than the other companies. As I kept digging through the details, the box options available make a big difference as the box is a large part of what you see.

They are pretty but I'm not sure I get it? At my local whole foods I can get a dozen fresh roses for $13. If I get a bouquet a week for 339 I could do that for 6 months. And any of those rose buds could be dried upside down and kept for longer as well. Get some rose essential oil and can have something similar for a fraction of the cost.

I'm too lazy to go buy roses each week, and even deal with it. Dried flowers are not for me. These aren't for everyone.

Beautiful flowers and what a nice treat during this stressful time.

Whenever I’m in Tokyo I purchase something similar from my favourite flower shop. 99341CA1-28D9-4583-956E-0F9DD46EB746.jpeg

Just received my order today. I got the blush suede with pink roses. The combination of the flowers and candle make my dressing room smell heavenly...I love it! I think I'm going to get one of the acrylic boxes next.

My husband got this for me. Yesterday was my birthday and he bought me the round mini in rose gold and gray suede. Just the one but it’s so beautiful. He also bought me a dozen roses as well (and a VCA pendant which is on its way to me. He couldn’t find it online and finally decided to call the store!).
I love it! I’m going to keep it by my nightstand. I was at work all day yesterday so he took a picture for me. E0BF5536-2BD1-45AE-87FE-6F3789118E82.png4902849F-F9A7-4F8C-99D2-B842EFBDE9D4.jpeg
