I found this website Since1910.com in a google search. Has anyone here purchased diamond/jewelry from them? I am thinking about consigning/selling my diamond to them and wondered how reputable they are.
No, I haven't posted here in the pre-loved section. I am wary about private sales - I don't feel comfortable "meeting" up with anyone and don't really know how to protect myself from internet scams. I would prefer to consign or sell outright to a legitimate company. I contacted the vendor who sold me the diamond and the buy back price is not bad but I asked them to look for an upgrade for me and it's been over a month since they made contact. I'm assuming they are not too interested in the buy back even if I am planning to upgrade through them. I figured if I can sell it myself, I will have more flexibility in terms of who I can buy my upgrade from.
Hi Scarlette!
Gross Jewelers (since1920.com) is my absolute favorite local jeweler here on Long Island. They are totally honest and super nice. In the past 10 years I have bought numerous pieces of jewelry from them and I have always been totally happy.
Whether you are buying or selling you can feel 100% confident dealing with them.
Good luck!!
Thanks so much for your response - it's really helpful to hear from actual local customers with personal interactions with the company. I sent them some information about the diamond I wanted to sell/consign late yesterday. Hopefully, I will hear something from them soon.
So glad to be of help! In the past I have bought a very large emerald cut diamond ring, diamond stud earrings and 2 Rolex watches from them. Each purchase was trouble free and I felt like they were giving me a very fair deal. They are great on customer service too. I bring my things back frequently to make sure the stones are tight and to have links adjusted on my watches.
Good luck!!
Did you ever consign your diamond with Since 1910? I am interesting in consigning my 1.90ct and I didn't know they did consignments. I'd be very interested in your feedback.
