Vendor for sourcing sappires in Boston or New Haven?

Hi,
A friend of mine is searching for a medium blue cushion cut sapphire for her engagement ring. We''ve looked around online at NSC, but she''d like to find a local vendor/jeweler in Boston or New Haven to call in stones and advise her. The problem is that there seem to be very few options here between Zales and Cartier. Does anyone have a favorite Boston area vendor that they trust and who is knowledgeable about colored gems? Any information would be helpful.

I don''t know if they could help you but Long''s Jewelers in Boston is a store I really like. They have a few other stores in Mass. but I''m not sure where. They carry really nice pieces. Maybe they could help.
