I love this dress! But what stands out to me is that with the corset top, the mix of fabrics and the assymetrical tiers, it has a very edgy feel that makes it hard for me to picture it with a veil. So I'm wondering if something totally unexpected wouldn't work. Maybe a mantilla-style veil, or a short (shoulder-length), fluffy veil. Something else to consider is to have a veil custom-made with a ruffle edging like the edging on top of the bodice. And although you didn't ask, I'm also seeing lacy ankle booties with that dress (
The dress kinda reminds me of Like a Virgin Maddona. In a good way. So I keep seeing you wearing a short REALLY poofy veil, lots of bangles on your wrist and lace short gloves. Definitely with the short lacy boots.
I would go to the salon and try it on with a LOT of veil options and see what you like best.
We''re going back to the bridal store today to try on some MOB and Bridesmaid dresses, so while there, the dress is going back on and we''ll ask for some of those of those veils that you mention and then *gag* we may have to try on a bunch of veils. (Too many decisions, too many opinions, too much $$$)
No veil may be an option, but not preferred.
The dress doesn''t look as edgy as in the picture. Without that "just been shagged" look hairdo or that choker, the dress isn''t really that edgy, it''s just stunning. Can''t try on shoes with a purple foot from missing that last stair and falling.
