Just curious...if I had a size 3.5ish finger and my center stone was going to be around 0.75 carats would this ring be too much? Too overpowering for the finger and or center stone? I''d probably get it in 18K yellow gold with a platinum head. Thanks!
I think it''s higher than the x-prong though, isn''t it? Maybe that is why it seems to be a high setting.Date: 6/13/2005 2:15:15 PM

well, i stand correctedBased on the pictures on the WF website it looked like a high setting to me. But those who have them are the ones who know best. Let us know what you decide. Does anyone know the exact height of the setting?![]()
I think that with a bigger stone (like 1.5-2 carat or so) the RC might out of necessity have to sit up higher to accomodate the stone. I think the picture on WF is probably of a ring with a stone larger than 1 carat. Mine was set with a 1/2 carat stone and it did not set high whatsoever. I''m thinking it wouldn''t be much of a difference in a .75 carat stone. When I discussed the setting with a rep at WF, I was told that the width of the band and the height of the setting on the RC were dependent on the size of the stone.Date: 6/13/2005 2:15:15 PM

Clarification: Vatche closes for 2 weeks during the summer months. Their company is not closing.Date: 6/14/2005 12:03:45 PM

My boyfriend just purchased my diamond through Whiteflash today...woohoo!! He tried to order the Royal Crown setting by Vatche for me but was told they were out of stock because the company is closing. Is that true?
