vatche gold knife edge with diamond question

Whiteflash has this great looking ring called the vatche knife edge. my girl loves gold so I like the gold one. but it is $2700 all by iteslf. here is my question. In the whiteflash expert selection is a diamond that in the ring would be at the outstretch of my budget. Do you guys think that the color, cut, ect would look good in the knife edge ring?

I don''t know if WF has it on their website or not. Vatche also has the knife-edge pave X prong ring which is similar to the one you''re looking at. It has a X-prong head with diamonds half way around the band so that should cut the price down to about half.

if you are going with a yellow gold ring then you can get a J color stone without much worry, color is more important (i.e. shows up more) in white metals. Just make sure that the stone is eye clean since it is an SI1. On the AGA chart it has a 1B grade which is American Ideal Cut. Sounds like a great stone, hope it looks as great as it sounds on paper.
