Vatche crown vs. x prong, will it work w/plain wedding band

So I think I am set on a Vatche setting, I love their Pave settings, but I can not decide on a crown or a x prong.....the stone is a 1.5 ct G VS2, so will the crown take away from the fire with the extra prongs?

Also, does anyone have pics of what it will look like with a normal plain platinum setting?

I have a Vatche royal crown with pave and I have a 1.4 G stone! So I can pretty much tell you will all certainty that the pave will NOT take away from the gorgeousness of the stone (I too had that reservation at first), the pave is just SO gorgeous, very sparkly and a beautiful compliment (esp for a 1.5 stone) and the also 6 prongs don''t take away from the stone at all. The extra bling of the pave band is personal taste, but it doesn''t take away from the center stone.

I feel like the prongs on the crown are pretty subtle on my ring. I actually prefer 6 prongs, IMO i feel like it''s more secure and protects the stone more, and i like the "roundness" of 6 prongs. although on sub 1ct stones I can see how 6 prongs may seem like "too much metal".

I dont have any pics of the plain plat setting, but if you want me to post pics of mine let me know!

If you have a well cut stone, the 6 prongs shouldn''t affect it.

I have the X-Prong in WG with a plain band. I''ll give you the link to them, granted it''s not Platinum, but you''ll get the general idea. And my stone is also a 1.4.

Thanks for the info

So I am assuming the x prong and the pave x prong are the same except the pave stones, so the wedding band should sit fine against the engagement ring.

I think I am leaning more toward the x prong.
