Van Craeynest Owners – Did you get a VC box?

My VC reset is still in production, and I’m happy to report that VC has gone above and beyond to make sure that the new setting will be exactly what I want.

So, anyway, I recently ran into a PS poll made by a LM owner who wanted to find out whether other LM owners had received a LM box, and I began to wonder about my own experience with VC.

And, now, I have a similar question for other VC owners:

***Did your VC jewelry piece come in a special VC box?***

My VC ring came in a tiny envelope (which came in a small rectangular cardboard box packed into a UPS shipping box), and I was wondering whether other VC owners who received their VC pieces by mail didn’t get a proper VC box.

I hope it''ll be finished this week or next week at the latest (otherwise I''m going insane

). Larry got the ring back on April 2nd, so this week is WEEK #4 in my wait. I received the first ring within 4 weeks (although the ring was actually finished within 3 weeks... then Larry called me to say that he would be shipping it soon, but a whole week went by before that happened

).

When exactly are you getting yours?

It is really a mother's day /B-day present, so I am going to try and be patient

I think you mentioned in the SMTR VC thread that your B-day is in July (mine too!). Will you get to wear your ring already in May or will you have to wait until July? (this is assuming you won''t get to wear it even sooner

I am going to try and wait at least until Mother''s Day.
That is a more important occasion to me anyway.
I guess it''s my mom who really deserves a present on my birthday.

BF received the er in the velet box we had used to send over the temporary setting. However, when we were looking at samples, we received them in tiny envelopes too.

Once I know there''s a present for me somewhere in the house, I can''t keep myself from having it. For example, I''m already wearing a watch that would''ve been my FI''s B-day present to me this July. I knew that he''d already gotten it and I had to have it... I''m a bad girl

Hi RubyCharm- I did not get a box b/c I picked the ring up from Larry in his office/cubicle. He did ask me, but I said I wanted to wear it, and I don''t store my rings in boxes anyway. I''m guessing he may not since Van Craeynest is a factory (he reminded me of that a couple of times when I was deciding on my ring).
I hope that''s okay w/ you.

That''s okay with me. I don''t plan to store my ring in a box, but I have to admit that I would feel a little upset if I knew that every VC owner received their jewelry pieces in nice packages, except me. It''s like buying a brand new TV and realizing that your TV didn''t come in a proper box, but everybody else''s did. Of course, you don''t want to keep your TV stored in its original package if you actually plan to use/enjoy it. But that doesn''t undermine the purpose of a nice package. IMO, as long as a jeweler (or any other type of business for that matter) is consistent in the way they present their product to their customers, then there shouldn''t be any problem.
