Finally got to a real computer.

Just FYI, $50,000 will only buy one of these. Can't remember which one. Most of these are north of $70,000.00. Largest center diamond is 2.19 carats. No. Seriously.

The first one is the one I really love. Color: E; Clarity: IF. Carat weight: 2.19 (I think) Price....Wait for it....: $74,000.00

Next we have something that must speak to someone. Not me. But someone out there is going to love it.

2.01 Center Price: $61,000.00

A swirly ring: D ; IF .94 carat weight : $48,000.00

Re: Van Cleef rings for Bling Bunny and anyone else who care

Next the traditional N/S EC (2.14 carat weight) for $67,000.00. The ring is dirty in the picture. Why they don't clean them I do not know. Diamond was beautiful but dirty.

Next is something scroll like. Around 1 carat for $43,0000.00 (I was wrong. This is the second ring you can get for under $50,000.00)

Re: Van Cleef rings for Bling Bunny and anyone else who care

Ok this last one is 2.18 carat EC. It's very pretty. Different. $74,000.00 is the price.

Fascinating! Thanks for posting these Isabelle :sun:

No problem. Do you have a favorite? If you could choose just one and cost not a factor, which would you take? I'd take the first or last. :wavey:

Re: Van Cleef rings for Bling Bunny and anyone else who care

yep, thanks for posting! I really like the 1st one and also the N/S EC (although the pic looks weird...probably because it is dirty). Maybe I should get both, I think that would go well on my student budget!!!

Re: Van Cleef rings for Bling Bunny and anyone else who care

LOL, I finished school almost 20 years ago and I'm still waiting for this to fit into the budget. I should have a word with my kids and tell them that their education is cramping my style. 8-)

Re: Van Cleef rings for Bling Bunny and anyone else who care

The swirly one reminds me of those rings you can get at Zales or Jarred's, but I like the ones at Zales better.

Re: Van Cleef rings for Bling Bunny and anyone else who care

love love love the first one :lickout: not the pricetag though :(sad still great eye candy, isabelle :wavey:

Re: Van Cleef rings for Bling Bunny and anyone else who care

Gorgeous, but not worth the inflated prices for what you get imho.

I love the east/west EC tho, beautiful.

Yes - clean the darn things will ya!!!

Ditto this!

Thanks for posting these, Isabelle. I'm not crazy about any of them -- they are very chunky!

Yes to me the first is amazing. But BGD could replicate this in a cinch. Love E/W set EC's!!!

Many of them are dated, meaning they look like something that was high fashion 50 years ago. The swirly ring they call "Promesse" falls into this category. I wonder how long it's been out? I'd bet for decades. Of course the Tiffany 6 prong is over 100 years old right? But it's so simple it stays classic. The swirly is very different from that one. Yes, i agree they are all very chunky. :wavey:

I like this one for a RHR.. but it doesn't need to be D, IF.

$48k ? no thanks :?

Thanks for posting these Isabelle!

Honestly, I'm really not a fan of any of them. A little too chunky and/or overdone for me. But fun to see!

I think a 1 carat D IF is only for a person who gets supreme pleasure of knowing their diamond is worth more than any other 1 carat stone out there of lower color or clarity grade. It doesn't look better and wouldn't get more compliments. In the case of the swirly ring, it would likely be mistaken for a fashion ring or RHR. Interestingly, I found out that despite the old fashioned air of that design, it was only very recently released. I never would have thought that. If you can drop $48K on a ring, I'm thinking anything less than two carats is just a darn shame. :naughty:

Yeah, i mean they're interesting. I like the first one quite a lot but it's not a unique design. It's beautiful though.
