To the owner, PLEASE clean your EC, especially the pavilion...it is driving me banana!

Oh thanks for posting this! I love Antiques Road Show and the best part by far is when they appraise jewelry. I might have missed this without your post. Thanks!

I still love your EC!

Aww.. thanks so much Rad_Fan. :wavey:
The Antiques Road show one has tapered baguettes and mine has straight.
Theirs is a bit smaller but better color and clarity.
So interesting that the VCA hallmarks were not there but her wise mother kept the original paperwork.
Also so interesting that the marriage only lasted a few months and she walked away with that rock!
Go girl!

I was heart broken to learn that the VC&A mark went missing after resizing. Shouldn't there be details of the original center stone in additional to the VC&A name inside the band? How could that be all missing?

I agree!!! I couldn't believe it either!!! Horrified.o_O

I buy and sell branded jewelry on Ebay and I will only bring the piece to the original store to be sized or have balls added. Even then I say.. "please make sure to keep the hallmarks."

Kind of gobsmacked she kept that ring after only a few months of marriage!!! :Up_to_something:

Seriously, that diamond is filthy, give the poor thing a soak! Cool story though.

I never understand when hallmarks are placed right on the bottom of the band, instead of closer to the top. The hallmark of my e-ring from my first marriage was wiped during resizing. It was a local store, they wiped their own mark! I remember thinking it was really strange. Can't imagine doing it to a VCA.
