Value and best place to sell diamond necklace

i have a whiteflash diamond by the yard necklace I would like to sell. Obviously I don't want to take it to a pawn shop and sell it for nothing. It's only been worn a few times. Ebay seems like an option. I've sold a lot on there but not much in this price point.

It is 16" white gold 18k
7x .12 A cut above melee

I see a similar necklace on their website for $1700 but it is a little smaller At .75 total vs my .84. I understand that is retail and new.

Just looking for options on what a good asking price would be and where I might be able to sell it for a fair price.

If ebay is the market you're going to sell through, start by looking there for comps. I see quite a few in the completed auctions. Be careful to look only at completed auctions that actually resulted in a sale when doing this. After all, it doesn't matter if someone is asking a ton of money if they aren't getting it (There's info to be learned from failed sales too but it can be hard to decide why something failed. It's not always the price, as I'm sure you know).

No, I'd rather not sell via ebay, I'm just familiar with it. I didn't notice the preloved classified are here last night when I posted. I probably wasn't logged in yet and that forum doesn't show up when you are not logged in.

I will probably start by putting it on this forum. I'm just trying to figure out how to price it. I'll take a look through the completed ebay listings for some ideas.

I tried looking for jewelry stores around here that buy but it looks like most of them are just interested in the gold to scrap.

That's a good comp, but it doesn't give the transaction price, only the original asking price and a statement that it sold.
