Hello,
I am getting a new diamond and just now found out about the shallow crown angle = possible chipping. Now I am nervous and thinking about backing out of the trade. Do you think I have the risk of chipping on this diamond? I will be putting it on a typical 4 prong setting.
Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot

Is there any reason you wanted something with a shallow crown angle rather than looking for a stone in more TIC range?

The stone scores 1.8 HCA and is a BIC. No I wasn't looking for a stone in TIC range or anything. I'm just getting impatient and kinda want to just get it but at the same time worried about durability of a stone with 32 CA... I am tempted to just move on from this one but since I am not sure if 32 CA is really really bad and must be avoided, I'm here seeking for advice...

I would skip it. 33.5 is bare minimum for crown. Also I don't like the pavilion stick to 40.9 and under if possible
