UPS Lost package!

After over a year of trying to find a nice OEC in my budget that I could love, i finally made my purchase on 12-31-19. Package was suppose to ship that day, but was delayed. First got confirmation that delivery would be 1-3-2020, then changed to 1-6-2020. Now it only says "n transit"! This was 2 day UPS shipping. At this point i think my OEC is lost or has been stolen! I am so upset.......Anyone else have this happen and the package finally show up?

I’m sorry this is happening but hang in there. All is not lost yet. I have had similar scenarios with all the major mail carriers and ultimately my package always got delivered albeit after much nail biting and with delays. But all of them were eventually delivered. Sending lots of good luck dust your way. Fingers crossed.

Yes I have had lost packages show up and a couple that never did. One I had to file an insurance claim and was reimbursed. Was the package insured? Most likely it will show up, but waiting until you get more information can be very stressful.

Maybe it got sent off track somehow, don't lose hope yet. Plus there were holidays involved so that probably slowed it down a bit.

I had this happen recently. It was overnight shipping and showed up two days late. Don’t panic yet

Updated tracking now shows delivery tomorrow! Let's hope for the best!

Sorry to thread jack, but what did you do to get it going? I have a $1500 package that’s been MIA for almost a month. I’ve reported it missing but my post office doesn’t seem to care.

Hang in there. Delayed, even seriously delayed, is not the same as lost. I just had a package shipped overnight USPS on December 20. It was delivered yesterday.

Yikes, I can't imagine how much longer my package will take then! I had one shipped from the UK by Royal Mail on 12/21. Last update from USPS read "Depart From Transit Office of Exchange."

This happens to me all the time, specifically with UPS. Hang on a couple of days (or even more!)- I think it will show up. Make sure you update us!

Oof. I've had that happen before. Terrifying but all my items have come, even if very late. Hopefully it is all well tomorrow at delivery time!

Oh yes this does happen a lot especially around the holidays. It does not mean it is lost at all. I understand you are nervous. I worry too when this happens so I call UPS up and bug them. It will instantly calm you down as you will most likely find out that it is fine and will be delivered within the next couple of days. Crossing fingers!

Sorry to thread jack, but what did you do to get it going? I have a $1500 package that’s been MIA for almost a month. I’ve reported it missing but my post office doesn’t seem to care.

I have had several packages go on extended journeys for up to several months, but I've always gotten them. Keep track of the date that the sender can report it/claim the insurance, and have them do so on that date. Most of my packages had been either lost in a truck or misdelivered, but were found or returned to sender.

My grandma sent a very generous gift card. She insured it but the post office said they wouldn’t honor the claim since you can’t insure gift cards. However she did tell them what it was when she mailed it so I may have her file. Why would they sell her insurance for something not covered? My local post office person told me to come back to speak to post master but he’s never available.

I 100% understand the stress of waiting for packages that have gone MIA. I think all of us here do! A few months ago I sent ~5k in pearls via FedEx overnight to Mexico - used company label, fully insured, etc. It got stuck in customs because Mexico has recently changed their broker requirements, and I read horror story after horror story about theft and vandalism... Two weeks and probably two hundred new grey hairs later it was returned to me safe and sound. I was holding it, and FedEx tracking claimed it was in Tijuana I will never ship anything of value to Mexico ever again!!

Yikes! But I’m glad to hear that worked out ok. I’ll hold out. This is the second missing package it’s so frustrating.
